For Avacta LTHs, does this mean we can hope for more sales (better faith in LFTs generally) or fewer sales (better faith in the previously-thought-to-be-inferior tests)?.
Apologies if this has already been posted. Had a look for other threads, but I don’t see any obvious ones.
A new test that seems to make similar claims for ease of use, sensitivity and specificity. As well as seemingly being a lot better than Avacta at PR…

How soon it will be available, given that they are ‘seeking commercial partners for rapid licensing’, is another issue, but it does still slightly irk me that nobody - like, nobody, apart from Myles - seems to be talking about Avacta, even after all this time…
It’s a tricky one, this. I agree with the entire thrust of your post.
But imho, RNS’s are not there to steady a ship that’s leaking. They’re there to inform the market all-at-once of significant positive or negative news that might affect the market’s reaction to the share price. Not the other way round.
Also, part of the problem is that, by their nature, any contract discussions must be NDA’d to ensure that no information is leaked prematurely to the market.
Am I as frustrated as everyone else that more positive news has not yet been forthcoming? Yes. Have we possibly missed the boat on LFTs? Yes.
Does this mean there are no meaningful NDA’d discussions ongoing as we speak? Who knows!
Knowing someone who’s been going through some pretty brutal chemo for a few months, it varies wildly. Sometimes she felt fine for a week or two, then it’d hit her like a tidal wave and she wouldn’t be able to get out of bed all day.
I very much doubt if we’ll hear any news about this trial until the full results are published. Anything else might risk false hope and/or false negative results.
Yes, I broadly agree, Bella. Although of course schools, hospitals and many others are ultimately funded by Govt anyway, and will need some sort of top-up to budgets if they’re going to afford the tests themselves.
“…natural market forces will take hold and some buyers will buy on price only whereas others will buy on quality.”
Reminded me of one of my favourite quotes:
There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey.

It’ll drift for a day or two - just closing slightly lower than at start of day (~1% down each day) until the CE is confirmed. It seems a lot of the speculators’ interest is priced in now, so only firm positive news causes a jump, and then it’ll drift in between.
I’m still very happy to hold long-term though - upward momentum will keep going as long as the positive milestones keep getting hit.
