Max, nice to see you being more realistic. Gaslady you remind me of the female version of CPerkin. Your post yesterday with regards to “saving time” by not having to drill to the CH-1 Jurassic layer made me smile, in the context of all the delays.

With regards to Oil, yes based on experts opinions there is highly likely an oil reservoir in the Ruvuma, but what would ARA do with the oil at this point in time? Where is the nearest oil refinery? The top priority is to start getting revenue from gas sales. An oil discovery would be great for the SP with most likely the herd arriving, but not for ARA.

Bullfrog… back in the day, Neil Ritson stated that NT-2 could be reworked to produce around 60 mmcfd, which should be way more than enough to meet demand in the first 6-12 months, as long as no maintenance tasks are required before NT-1 or CH-1 come on line.

Positives are the TPDC building the pipeline now for use later this year but the bottom line, ARA have shafted AEX. Probably less than $20m total development cost until first gas. Which the only positive is that AEX will start to have funds to develop Kiliwani next year. But the bottom line is that we’re all here to make money by a sustainable increase in SP and that’s not going to happen until later in the year when we have a rig contractor and spud date or first gas, whichever comes first. A good increase in resources from the seismic results mid-year may give us a 20-30% SP increase, but it’s drilling that’ll push us above 2p.

Not quite Tanzania. Firstly, it looks like I was incorrect with regards to TPDC building the pipeline themselves (sorry Roger) but I take my hat off to ARA, who have basically played TPDC, Aminex and also Scirocco like a fiddle.
Basically ARA are now paying peanuts before getting revenue from 1st gas. $140m initial investment lol. So we’ve waited 6 years for a rework of NT2 which currently has a flow rate of around 15mmcfd. We’ve given away 50% for what?
So after todays wet flannel rise, the next one should be mid-year (not March) when we get the results of the Seismic analysis, which may or may not be positive.
CH-1 drill, I suspect is anyone’s guest now, but it may be a multi drill which would make more sense.

If the CH-1 drill is set back to later this year, no way 1st gas EARLY 2024.

Gaslady the exporting of gas is years away. The same for investment in new international companies to consume the gas. It’s going to take at least 5 years to get to 140 mmcf/d.
There’s 57 TCF of gas offshore how much is that worth?? At the moment ZERO dollars as it’s still in the ground.
It been 20 years since Oil was discovered in Uganda and they are just starting to construct the pipeline to export the gas.

PoC ….ARA reviewed the 2D seismic results and stated an increase in gas resources to get the interest of the Tanz government. IMO there is no need to issue any revised resource upgrade at this point in time. They have no shareholders and will issue an upgrade when it suits their purpose.

$$$ Yes Gaslady a lot of gas. All we need now are customers to buy it !!!

Sorry to be a party pooper but I doubt there will be any resource upgrade until after CH-1 has been drilled. There’s no need for ARA to do that at the moment. I suspect a revised CPR will be produced after CH-1 for the purpose of influencing international investment. Ie letting investors know they have a 25 year gas supply.
Hopefully what we should get is confirmation of CH-1 location in the next RNS.

Roger … How long have you been invested in AEX? If less than 2 years I can forgive your ignorance, if not wake up and smell the coffee.
