The one thing that still confuses me is why they didn’t get a government backed Covid loan that they could then use to repay the ludicrously expensive debt finance we have. Yes, we’re not struggling due to covid but I don’t think that was a prerequisite . Not like it would have given us a stigma.....at least not one we don’t already have.

OT: it is a positive for sure. I was just saying it’s not a Boom. But maybe I’m just picky. I’d like a boom to result in double digit gains minimum. Rather than, you know, zero movement.

I see why people get annoyed with moaners on here (many think I’m one - but then many think I’m a ramped so what can you do?), but the market currently agrees with the moaners....analysis of the RNSs recently probably should be negative since the market deems then so.

Let’s hope tomorrow brings something great....currently I fear it will not.

But hey, it may hit 15p and then we get rid of Phil so it could be an amazing day!!! ;-)

OT: no spin needed. The RNS contained no new information. Everyone knew the airport was opening, it’s the passenger numbers that are key.

And surely you see it’s not a boom RNS?? Therefore it was surely ironic??

It does show how this can move. It popped over 5% until people actually read the RNS (which was pretty much the least informative RNS from them this year).

FW: vending machines are not going to make or break WSG. pF said himself that they wouldn’t be worth millions in revenue. It’s a side show. The money is in MSCs and decent tech sales. The ending machines are a tiny part of the business....at absolute best they’ll give us some headlines as they’re a little but novel

HB: you’re wrong, we do not sell Smiths kit. They sell it direct. And it’s better than ours (got that from our horse’s mouth last AGM). I think smiths is the best.

Salman is interesting. I’m not surprised Pete likes their tweets since they said they were investing in WSG. I find it odd that they tweet, not like any long investment house I know. That’s more the realm of hedge funds, and even they don’t tweet, they put out research and news to drive prices up it down.....but any publicity should be helpful.

Don't know anything about Salman Investors....nice to have them on board, but they can't be very big as they clearly don't own much of WSG...which only has a market cap of about £16m.

let's hope they have some insight into the Saudi situation, but i won't be topping up based purely on this tweet.

MOS: thanks, i'm well aware of who they are and the basic fact that non-independent research isn't worth the paper it's not printed on. that's why all it is is a nice summary for newbies.

i didn't expect them to say sell, i was just pleased that they didn't put some arbitrary price target on it....when it wouldn't be remotely independent or meaningful.

i agree that we need MSCs for the SP to rise materially. if they were doing £2m plus a month in covid sales (even at a lower margin) then maybe something could happen...but they're not.

there always seems to be one thing that this pup hangs on - it was the Middle East contract, then briefly the signed African contract, then Tema (as we waited for the figures to come through - the ones that never did) and now is KSA......as the underlying business is ok i'm happy to keep waiting....the "forever home" can wait another year or so
