yrabs: don't forget that at the end of March they were selling $1.2m of covid gear in a 2 week period ($1.7m in the month)...and they didn't RNS any details or put them on the website.....so they clearly are doing lots of small things too.

this is probably why they have been reluctant to give running commentaries in the past...people seem to get used to news flow and complain if there has been nothing for over a week

Yrabs: some valid points there. i'll pick you up on the range there though. over the past 3 years it's been sub 7p on 2 occasions for a total of about 4 months. it's been above 12p on 5 occasions for a total of about 13-14 months. the average share price over the past 3 years is 12.327p

the only reason i can see for them to be giving lots of detail to push up the share price is to mean that they make some money from the riverfort and ya share sales.

i'll agree that the share price performance has been atrocious for years, i really believe that we're in a great place right now though...but i can forgive anyone for not believing PF after oh so many false dawns.

Yrabs: you seem upset with how much WSG are saying??? There has been a deluge of output from them...and we’re due an AGM statement and a July investor update. Why the need for daily updates on what’s going on?

If it turns out that we’ve been running at $1.7m fever sales a month then everyone will be pleased, but looking back that’s basically what they said when they said the rate hadn’t really changed since late March.

People are annoyed about the short term share price. Yes PF hasn’t managed it well over the long term, but we can’t expect daily updates.

Mob: interesting first post. i've always said that they were very limited in usefulness, that's why i wasn't too bothered about the sales back in Feb. i was proven wrong, not about the efficacy, but about the view of customers. lots want them to get back to work / flying again. it gives a sense of security to employees / customers.

the fever screening doesn't need to work, it just needs to sell. One big asset manager thinks it's needed, UniCredit in Italy has started to open offices back up with temperature scanners.

not sure i believe that air in planes is as clean as operating theaters...loads of people seem to catch colds on long haul flights...but he's the scientist.

MrDoubleHeadedTrump: i didn't "fess up", you poor, simple fool. My first ever post on LSE was to ask people on this very board if they knew a good place to trade CFDs.....but again as a man who lies constantly i guess you'd assume i was lying then.

CFDs statistically have better returns than spread betting, not least because they are held for longer on average. My longest held WSG CFD was bought on 11th May 2018. one of the advantages of them is that you can take profit as they rise without selling...not something that i've been able to do as these dogs keep falling!!

anyway, enough explaining myself to a narcissistic fantasist.

yrabs: the lack of SP priority was a big take away from the last AGM for me. He was super pleased with how the company had grown and how he'd looked after his employees....very laudable but not our priority when the share price has been so poor.

that said, i think this time it's genuinely different (how many times have i heard / said that???) and the only bit of bad luck that can derail us is an easily produced vaccine that puts Covid to bed by September (not gonna happen)....even then i suspect they'd flog a whole bunch of scanners as companies fear the next pandemic.

I've been here 8 years and it's been unquestionably an atrocious investment. i wish i were the trader that DHC**t thinks i am. another plonker here, but hopefully one that could be rewarded by year end. won't be selling before Phil, that's for sure.

feels like a slightly different tone than usual....a bit more aggressive..."exciting times that keep coming" is relatively punchy under current circumstances....but i'm not complaining about us making some serious coin out of covid...after all it's all helpful for the recovery.
