JHolder - your average price is the effective price you have paid for your holding - if you purchased on multiple occassions, it will be nothing like a share price ever - but even if you didn't it would be the price you paid at the time you bought them - which may never have been reflected in any index - especially as it will have been during the day, not at the end of the day.

dazlar39 - that was the AGM. I too am waiting to vote on the RTO, which is separate from the AGM

Louis_Winthorp - COST of shares is amount you paid, Value is the current value based on share price - which should actually show as zero as we arent' trading at the moment! I would imagine your Fund and Share account shows it at last value if anything. But might be a question for others with similar accounts - my shares with II currently have zero value attached to them!

your numbers don't seem to work for the average cost, but I'm guessing your rounded the cost - as the average cost of those shares for exactly £7k is .458 of a penny. That said, after consolidation you will hold 3056 shares. And yes, if your average is really that high, you have little at 10p a share

FaceCadet - everyone will be different because it depends what you average purchase price was! But I should think 10p is below what a lot of people (myself included) effectively paid. BUT also it doesn't matter what the price is on relist, it matters what the price is when you sell!

I'll try again. For every 500 shares you have, 499 are thrown away and you have 1 new one. Hence 500 to 1. Original post mentioned an exact million, so the answers have been in millions. So if you (for example) had 123456 shares you'd end up with 246 new shares - your 456 at the end don't divide by 500 so are discarded completely

fairly simple maths - as Oilest has said, divide your holding by 500. IGNORE any remainder - you've lost those (so if you held 3 million 499 shares, its the same as 3 million)

vote as you see fit Wideglide - but with 15 percent already committed to FOR from one individual it's going to take a LOT of no's to scupper the deal. I'm a realist, or at least try to be - this is the deal, I can think what I like but if it is (as I see it) a choice of throwing my money away or walking off with SOMETHING I know which way I have to vote.

CGT is the GAIN you make. So it depends on how much you paid for them and how much you sell them for. And of course until you sell them you have no CGT liability at all!

A week ago people had resigned themselves to having this written off. That's a 100% loss. We now have a deal, and if you WANT you can sell on day 1 achieving a lesser loss. OR you can hold and see what the market thinks of the company - and it is that that determines the actual share price. Not our listing price. Not your average. Of course I'd love a 10 bag on day one. But I'll take a tradeable share any day over a 100% loss.

and if it is 10p a share, everyone will be very happy - because everyone seems to have read the 500-1 consolidation and ignored the SECOND part where it does another 500-1 consolidation! (The deferred share bit)

probably also worth bearing in mind - whatever price it lists at isn't important. It's what price it gets to when you want to sell that matters.

JamesB88 - at 500-1 I'd need about 19p to get my money back! At least I had the foresight to round up my main holding to a multiple of 1000's.
