You can't trust the BBC to cover anything meaningful these days. On another BB we have been musing about their complete silence on the crisis of the Three Gorges Dam in China. There is the potential for 400million to be killed or displaced if the dam collapses. However, there is an entertaining news snippet about a nudist in Berlin and a wild boar. Follow link if interested! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-53692475
Yes ARB is behaving like RIOT today! Nice PR job Billfunk. I'm sure that RickTilman will be very happy with his investment of yesterday when Canada switches on.
RE: NASDAQ list - alternative perspectvie7 Aug 2020 07:32
That is valuable input @RickTilman. It seems that Robinhood have postponed their UK launch indefinitely - perhaps because we already have some ‘free‘ trading Platforms and apps - they just don’t seem to have captured the imagination in the same way as Robinhood. I follow a number of US stocks and have noticed extreme movements (eg Plug power up 15% overnight) whereas my green energy plays over here stagnate. I think I might send more money Stateside today. But welcome to ARB. It’s going well. We just need to be better known!
RE: This could play out well for us6 Aug 2020 19:30
Yes Triggerboy, isn't it outrageous that our useless media doesn't see fit to cover the potential 'black swan' event of the Three Gorges Dam collapsing with 400million lives at risk - not to mention industries and power generation.
Well that's good to know. He seems hugely capable and sharp as a box of knives. His interview on Proactive investor was actually what drove me to invest! Nice to know he cares about his shareholders to the point of interacting with them!
Hi there, I'm new to this board having bought my first SKIN shares this morning (already blue! :) ). So I'm curious to know whether 'gjbrandon' is actually THE Gerry Brandon or just an in joke here?
In former times, the Press could be informed about things 'under embargo' until a certain point in time. Not sure if that still works not that we have 24 hour social media
https://twitter.com/bbc5live/status/1290534414204776448 Found this on the SKIN BB. (Note that their SP is performing well today.) Listen to 1.03 minutes in for the very impressive statistic that the (AVACTA-enabled) sewage test can identify one person infected in a population of 10,000! This would be brilliant in a city like Paris where the underground sewage network mirrors the street network! You could get to street level identification of an outbreak!
If any reassurance is needed, take a look at Timster's post in the thread 'What we know'. Then watch the Sir John Bell interview about how inadequate the government's latest testing solution will prove to be https://twitter.com/Tweet_trader01/status/1290411013943300098?s=19 and finally visit the Cytiva website https://www.cytivalifesciences.com/en/us to see how Avacta's US partner will be able to assist with bringing products to the US market.
Innovations in neutralising therapies30 Jul 2020 21:54
Apologies if already posted earlier today, but found this on the AVCT website just now - a further description of how the affirmer proteins can neutralise Coronaviruses by disabling their spikes, effectively blocking their entry to host cells. It’s a further clarification of why yesterday’s RNS was so ground-breaking.
“Work is continuing to further study the way in which the proteins prevent infection and on 29th July we announced an expansion of our partnership with Daewoong Pharmaceutical to to develop stem cell therapies for COVID-19 and future pandemic diseases.“
