Just wondering here.... could the MWG Microtox Systems pick up Novichok? They claim it can identify a range of viruses and toxins. I think a number of governments would pay good money to have a real time Novichok monitoring capacity. (Apologies if previously discussed, but if it has been, I didn’t see it.)

Be fair CautiousOptimist, the story did also run in the Cambridge News. This is what I don't understand; it used to be the case that national news editors would pick up on significan regional news but that no longer seems to be the case - at least not if it's a potential good news story!

Thought this deserves a bump

No, this is the horrible gag-reflex inducing nose and throat swab test that the govt has been doing on a random basis amongst the general population for some months. I was selected to participate. Found it virtually impossible to self administer and my mind boggled at the idea that they sent a courier to collect my sample box! What a waste of money. The testing was accompanied by market Research exercise which did not give you the opportunity to comment on why your sample may not have been adequate (I.e.) couldn’t actually get the swab to the required place in the throat!)

Last paragraph suggests individuals real-time testing. In which case, I hope it’s another collaboration with AVCT!
