Just look at how the airline stocks have bounces today on talk of mass testing!

I seem to remember that in the panic around the Salisbury attack, they were very worried about a potential ‘mishap’ that could have meant that it had got into the water supply (at least if the BBC dramatic reconstruction is to be believed.)

Regarding Norovirus, they seem to have it covered already as well as e-Coli and HPV.

OK, slightly off topic re Covid, but very relevant to AVCT future prospects... I was just trying to track down something I read recently about how affirmers could be used to detect Norovirus - which often occurs on cruise ships. I googled Avacta Norovirus test and uncovered this.... it seems that the affirmers detect viral infections in plants too! Just how massive can this get?

Well they wouldn’t want to report any good news, would they? Doesn’t fit with the catastrophising narrative. Latest gripe is that people are being asked to travel 100 miles to get swab tests.

While we wait patiently for confirmation of the S&S of our spit test, I think we can take comfort from the fact that, since introducing AVCT affirmers into their water testing gear, SKIN can identify an outbreak even where it’s down to one person in a population of 10,000. That seems pretty sensitive ... and also specific to Covid.

See other thread. Seems they got him on early. I feel morally obliged not to tune in, having cancelled my TV licence, so rely on snippets from you guys ;-)

So we can’t blame them for yesterday then.

This has been raised before and I don’t remember the science of it, only that the mass production of the affirmers was not thought to be a significant problem. I’m sure a scientist will step in and confirm why.
