Richardo, I was referring to the comments on Twitter - a more youthful readership demographic than the Telegraph I suspect. The point is that nobody seems to trust U.K. Gov to get anything Covid related right anymore!
Oh dear, just look at the comments about testing from members of the general public here. If Moonshot is going to succeed, people are going to need to be utterly convinced that the science is bulletproof and the test ‘exquisite’! They are going to need a crash course on affimers and to hear that this is a modern day scientific breakthrough of similar importance to the discovery of penicillin!
It always goes North in the run up to 2pm when an RNS is possible. Down again afterwards if there’s nothing. Unless, of course, we have some real momentum building now with sticky money involved.

Personally, I wonder whether the TT delay has been orchestrated to ensure that we can have a genuinely ‘Sovereign supply’ as soon as the Brexit Transition Period ends. At present, we are still obliged to adhere to EU procurement rules. (Although I’m pretty certain that Germany failed to do this regarding PPE back in the spring.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_procurement_in_the_European_Union. See para 3.

On behalf of all shipmates, I would just like to say a very big thank you toTillywhiz and JT for these informative and reassuring daily posts and similarly to Ian for being our master of ceremonies for the various games and competitions that this BB delights in.
If the NDAs apply to ‘Moonshot’ in it’s entirety rather than just the progress of the pregnancy style test, I wonder whether we will hear anything at all about BAMs until the ‘big reveal’ which I think will cover DVRG sewage and ‘breathalyser’, BAMS and LFT all in one go. Next news is delivery of first batch and timeline isn’t it?
RE: Boots test ‘unethical’. Discuss.28 Oct 2020 11:01
‘Testing is a vital public service – every Briton should have equal access to testing, regardless of income or circumstance.’ Every Briton? That’s a very big buy order for Avacta in the pipeline.
Deffo November 5th. I know it’s going to be lucky because my chimney sweep is coming. I don’t know if I have to kiss him on your behalf to make it happen or whether Mary Poppins would be Covid aware and accept an elbow nudge instead? Is anyone else is having their chimney swept sooner than me?
RE: EU unified rapid antigen strategy27 Oct 2020 20:11
I’m convinced that this is why Boris didn’t sign up to joint PPE/vaccine procurement with the EU, why there is so much secrecy around Avacta and potentially also why the LFT may not be launched until after the Brexit extension period runs out! U.K. first?
To keep this ship ‘Bristol fashion’ and as a weapon against occasional botfly infestations, may I suggest an appropriate anniversary present for Septic Lil could be a medieval Neato botvac? (Robotic vacuum cleaner in case you wondered. Available from medieval Amazon)
