Have just made my first purchase this morning - both the shares and the massage oil! I am amused that AJ Bell immediately adjusted my portfolio to show 5% in the Energy sector. Here on LSE also Zoetic Intl is part of the Fossil Fuel Producers sector.
Is there a reason for this? I should imagine that this makes it a no go for any ESG funds - as would also be the case if taken over by a tobacco company. Aren’t these products more consumer discretionary than fossil fuel?

It may have been because I posted a link to the Great Barrington Declaration which is also a sort of petition open to the public. Is that something which is against BB rules? I think mine was the last post on the thread, so that might explain it.

Remember dornelles first post last week describing how, as a PhD. Student, (s)he had encountered affimers for the first time and been immediately astonished by their potential? How astute then of Sir Al to be handing out affimers ‘like sweets‘ to other companies for evaluation. You can imagine their eyes out on stalks. This clever marketing ploy will no doubt lead to numerous licencing partnership deals whereby we can generate significant revenue from royalties on the sale of products other than our own. Here’s hoping for widespread tooth decay in the pharma industry.

I think this is a very different proposition to VAL. Many more irons in the fire. What scared me about VAL was the suggestion that clinical trials had been mishandled leading to significant delays. This is obviously MMs playing games, but on a company whose pipeline makes it very attractive at these discounted prices.

Just realised that it’s more positive to post under a thread title that mentions buying instead of selling! Anyway, after a couple of months of being obsessed with Covid stocks, thought it was about time to look at future green economy winners, and this one has always been on my watch list. Turning waste plastic into hydrogen and electricity- what’s not to like?
