RE: Analytical sensitivity in today’s RNS23 Nov 2020 15:39
Market for chemotherapies with cumulative toxicity problems = $ 56.5bn per annum. Global market for Doxorubicin = $ 1 billion even with associated cardiac damage problems. Imagine finding a way to eliminate them with preCISION!
I think you were cut off mid sentence there sleepy, but I agree. I still trust Al. I’m totally convinced that the buffoons in PHE/condor etc are the real villains of the piece.
Three tests: Elisa Assay for scientific research use fully validated by LSTM = 500x more sensitive than any other similar Elisa test. BAMS Assay for use in Hospitals/Unis. As yet untapped potential for Covid mass testing. Each machine can run 1000 tests per day. Highly sensitive and with exquisite specificity.. Getting BAMS validated through CONDOR was described as ‘a frustrating process’ therefore needed to find another route to market ‘under their own steam’. BAMS is now ‘mid trial’ at two hospitals and two unis. There is a high level of commercial interest in both ELISA and BAMS and AVCT is looking to form large commercial partnerships to capitalise on this. Expect clinical data soon. Rapid Antigen Lateral Flow Test for home use. This is still the Holy grail and we have a promising prototype which is easily scalable. Obviously there has been a switch from saliva to nasal swab which has required the sourcing of a swab supply (sorted).
Fauci wants ‘a flood of testing’. Vaccines still fraught with scepticism and logistical problems. We will still generate massive revenue from Affimer based Covid testing.

Yes, it was discussed with much enthusiasm over the weekend. But BAMS is always the bridesmaid and never the bride because we take such a blinkered view on the LFT development.
Q3: In relation to the COVID testing developments, are you receiving any support from the government at all? A3: I’ve been asked that a lot and I can’t talk about the interactions we’re having with the government in any detail of course but what I will say is I’m very pleased there’s now a detailed dialogue which is very helpful in guiding our developments so that we can directly address the national requirements, but I can’t really say more.
As I have long suspected.... it’s the Govt that have been the fly in the ointment. Can you do it this way? Oh no, wait, now that we’ve seen it in action out in the field, we prefer it another way, so can you do one like this?
We shouldn’t be too quick to blame AS. When the full story comes out we may well find that Avacta has reacted with phenomenal speed to changing client requirements.
Agreed. I keep pointing out that AVCT will be promoted to MSCI Small Cap Index (previously in Microcap territory) IIs need shares. They are getting them way too cheap because the impatient are selling.
Already had Wiggly filtered so I have no idea what venom he’s spouting here, but as of today, I’m adding Usain, Roryplum, Jag189, Wul1976, greedo76, najabat1, Simonwolf and Trek.
Fair point, Upwards. But at least we can see here that AVCT has adapted its proposition in the face of challenges. What’s more, we know that affimers can also be adapted to pick up virus mutations. We are seeing teething problems being overcome very publicly.
To any new investors arriving today: Well done! You got a bargain. To anyone considering buying in, just ignore this BB today and DYOR. It’s become an absolute joke and troll fest.
How will he explain it? Perhaps with Avacta’s slide showing the infectiousness timeline whereby people only start to become infectiousness a week after contact with the virus.
But wait, he can’t use that slide because it so neatly shows the problems with using PCR and antibody testing as diagnostic tools for determining infectiousness. Antigen testing is still going to be HUGE.
Has anyone else noticed SP yo-yoing between positive and negative? MMS manipulating price to pick up limit sells? They are after shares by the 30th for MSCI small cap index listing. Don’t sell out cheap! Who knows what Boris will be announcing later!
