Always tempting to look for patterns, particularly in slow/bear times. As for whether it can go on forever... It'll go on until we find someone willing to bid for us or the asset. In the next few months? I'm not optimistic, but I keep a holding here for the same reason as most: blind faith and optimism. Appears some people have gone all in based on those things though, and they probably don't deserve to succeed - that's not an investment strategy!!

I know how Earth's climate feedbacks work though, too, so I doubt we will be friends...

DreamBoatWarrior - not sure of your background so wouldn't want to patronize, but I wouldn't get too hung up on whether the A trades are labelled as buy or sell. That's only really a useful indication for O trades, where it speaks to the direction to/from MMs. As I say, not wishing you lecture if you knew that and were making another point?

Your argument appears to contain a number of unsupported claims and conspiracy theories. There is no evidence to support the idea that the UK's response to the COVID-19 pandemic was a deliberate attempt to control the population or seize their wealth. The high number of deaths during the pandemic is due to the spread of the virus, not the response to it. Additionally, inflation is a complex issue that is influenced by a number of factors, not just the growth of the money supply. The suggestion that excess deaths are being hidden by the media is also not supported by the available evidence. It is important to rely on credible sources of information and to approach complex issues with a critical and discerning eye.

If you read the article, Fortissimo, it is saying that bigwigs think the rumour of a takeover of Solgold is wide of the mark. As in, the 'bigwigs' (lacking a citation or any credibility) don't think this will get a takeover bid.

I think it probably will- it's a rubbish bit of fence-sitting journalism- but I was just pointing out that it's not a positive piece about Solgold and it's sale prospects. Everything else the original poster here said is correct.

I agree Bubble2021, I think Solgold will try to sell on its assets or make itself a target for full takeover. The article was just saying 'bigwigs' don't think this will happen. And neither does the market, currently, but hopefully they will all turn out to be wrong and your reasoning detailed here will see us taken over on good terms for us PIs

JG1964, are you referring to the 'This is Money' article, or something else? Because if you read it, it said bigwigs don't expect there to be a takeover ("this is wide of the mark"). I hoped for some positive press coverage but this certainly wasn't it- highlighting that there have been rumours of a takeover for years that haven't come to anything. Shame, as a widely publicized article mirroring what lots on here are saying might draw a bit of pi interest whilst we wait for news.
