On 2 August 2024, I sent the following questions to Southampton University clinical trials department:

"I have three questions about the UNIVERSAL clinical trial.

1. What is Sanofi's role in the clinical trial?

2. Are they funding the trial?

3. Is the trial still active or inactive?"

This morning, on 14 August 2024, I received the following reply in a PDF (dated 6 August 2024) attached to the email:

"In accordance with Section 1(1)(a) of the Act, we confirm that the University holds the information of the description specified in your request.

1. What is Sanofi's role in the clinical trial?

Response: Sanofi are a party in a sub-project of the overall trial. Title is “Detection of Bordetella pertussis signal within an adult UK population hospitalized with acute respiratory syndrome – Pilot data collection”.

2. Are they funding the trial?

Response: Sanofi are funding the sub-project.

3. Is the trial still active or inactive?

Response: The trial is active."

Last year, 2023, I contacted Southampton University and asked the following questions:

Is it only Janssen OR both Janssen and AstraZeneca that are providing funding?

Who are all the parties providing funding for the UNIVERSAL clinical trial?

I was sent this reply:

"Janssen is the funder of the trial. AZ is not funding the trial but has provided funds for sample analysis. There is a clear distinction.

We are obligated to publicly disclose any funds that could be linked (in any way) or are linked to a trial.

Synairgen and Jansen agreed to the funds from AZ for analysis purposes in a TMG.

I hope this addresses your question."

This year, I sent a question to the same person about the role of Sanofi in the UNIVERSAL trial but they did not reply.

I'm inclined to agree with Doc83.

So far, the board has shown complete contempt for shareholders who funded the P3 clinical trial. They have also lied when they claimed at the last AGM that they would improve shareholder comms.

I read on ADVFN, they also told Poly they would improve comms when shareholders started contacting Poly to complain. I think it was RM or another director who contacted the group of shareholders at the behest of Poly to tell them they would improve comms.

There will have to be a very good reason for the delay in the AGM.
