I’m not an oilman (and don’t pretend to be) so don’t know if my concerns that progressively further south of Heron 1 will producer lower and lower amounts are valid. It’s a genuine question and there’s been little to no talk of it here

The business case depends on the answer though imo.

Heron2 is (so far) a duffer.

Heron 1 has been underwhelming. Or a complete and utter duffer if people really thought it would do 500bopd +.

Yep so even taking your figures for every 10 wells they drilled 4 were duffers. Similarly performance here on Heron, drilled 2, 1 duffer (so far). If you think that’s great then fair play, that’s subjective. You certainly had different views about non performing wells before they were drilled

@margaritas / Tenbag - as the only one who has posted their trades, you can have absolutely confidence in bought yday. Just because I bought for a trade it won’t stop me analysing things as I see them. But it’s noted you appear to act differently

@manx I think they’re trying to put a bow on the for sale sign. A harsher interpretation would be they’re trying to offer jam tomorrow - all three wells were initially suspended for a reason. They’ve had 9months to study the data and as you highlight the changing ideas re H2 doesn’t give confidence.

We know PC had plenty of duffers, but for me they need to explain the significance of the Heron2 failure, ie does it imply (as I suspect) that each well drilled further south will have a decreasing chance of success. If it does there are serious problems

Same old stuff too, pretending the SP ever had a base at 2.30p to raise - simply didn’t happen. Not a single bit of self reflection for getting the need for a raise completely wrong - again.

If a sale / JV was close then I very much doubt they’d dilute to that extent at all time lows.

We also know he guided a deal (in time for drilling) this year was unlikely.

We also need to factor in there’s currently a tax dispute with the only route to market, which I doubt helps talks.

As I see it they need to prove more potential than a 50% hit rate with the 1 producing well being underwhelming.

I have indeed knocked the s h I t out of it because I foresaw a raise. However I’ve never said anything that I didn’t believe to be true and certainly not to impact the SP.

It’s a volatile share, it’s twice gone on short burst to 2.30p based on absolutely nothing. That first one I recall did something like 45% in an afternoon!

Everything has a price and for me whilst this is a long term dog, I’m pretty confident of a short term lift

Yes it’s a risky buy in the sense I don’t believe the underlying business is sound. Nevertheless they are now funded for a while and have some potential good news to drop if / when the tax dispute gets resolved, although I suppose that could bring bad news. It’s just a trade for me really.

Yeah that’s what attracted me too, as even the 1.20p was pretty much an all time low. The situation now is not fundamentally different to my assessment then, because I was convinced a raise was coming. I would have hoped the raise would be for slightly better things than re working old suspended wells, but ultimately I agree it’ll bounce back from these levels. Only a short term trade for me probably though.

It’s a badge of honour to be accused of being similar to Doc, because he’s one of very posters who can objectively analyse things here.
