I didn’t predict a raise today. As some grown ups you pretend to filter highlighted, it’ll come after the resolution is passed to allow them to do another massive dilution.

At that point I may indeed be a buyer as a price materially lower than today.

Things are moving forward because circa 4 months after agreeing the sales deal and 2 months after being asked to sign it, PC have now uploaded to their system but are still unable to give a signing date (having told us February).

What a remarkable set of facts to hail as progress.

The raise is coming there’s absolutely no doubt about that now. Not to drill Heron 3, 4, 5 and 6 but to do the work on Heron 1 and pay the salaries.

Can someone direct me to the line in the RNS that references “ADVANCED” partner discussions?

As Proquo says everyone is here to make money. So ultimately it doesn’t matter whether my analysis is right that it’s a poor RNS, or the usual suspects who tells us it’s all good.

Let’s see what the market says because that’s what matters.

The fact he’s now discussing alternative routes to market 8weeks after saying it was all agreed and just needed a signature speaks to (lack of) confidence in PC.

Still no clarity on a plan H1, H2, or Gobi - all 3 needing more work / money. There is no money so difficult to plan in the scenario.

Stepping up efforts on JV talks a minor bit of good news but that doesn’t sound close and surely they’ve had all winter to look into this. I suspect a JV partner would want the above work done to better assess what the wells can actually produce in 2025 as opposed to what Heron 1 peaked at in 2019

Meanwhile the cash pile must be running on fumes without any certainty as to when cash will land. The raise will be coming but not to pop up 4 producing wells, simply to keep the lights on and the tea and biscuits topped up.

The change I was referencing was in terms of expecting blockbuster news tomorrow, speculating it could treble to 5p and then recognising that’s extremely unlikely for the reasons Proquo (and me) explained.

I don’t see any mention of a JV or Heron Sale. As others have flagged that would need to be released in a timely manner, not held back to time with an AGM.

I suspect they’ll be an operations update because one is due and I’d find it difficult to envisage an AGM without any updates as to what’s going on.

The update might say the deal to sell has been signed but I’m marginally leaning against that because again I’d consider that to need a timely RNS. Could be that though and it would be good news if so.

Presumably by now they’ll have done the work they referenced in November as taking a few months to analyse the pressure issues at H1 and whether H2 performance was due to a down hole issue. So there could / should be some updates on those, and perhaps similar comments might apply to Gobi, ie what’s the plan?

If there’s not much good news in the above (or even mixed news) then I think he’ll be desperate to talk up renewables - frankly I think everyone is in the dark on the prospects there.

My best guess is they’ll say the sales deal is about to be signed and the stored oil will be sold to fund the improvements to H1 which will then fund further growth whilst they explore and consider options.

$8m funds 2 producing wells. But that assumes both are successful - as Abzzba helpfully pointed out only 52% of PCs drills led to producing wells. You tell us geology doesn’t respect man made boundaries so presumably you think our area would be similar?

So that’s a very happy path and even that requires huge dilution and leaves no money for anything else. Apparently Gobi needs a well test too, as an example.

If there’s a raise the SP will almost certainly drop, just like it did last year when you were banging the no downside drum too

My post was factual. Claiming heron flows at the highest rates isn’t accurate is it. It might have potential to do more but they’ll need to control the pressure. They’re not said they can do this so those interested in making money will be more interested in reality than a geology theory exam.

As for H2

Heron 1 flows / produces at 200bopd

Heron 2 they suspended because it only showed potential for 30bopd which was borderline commercial given the winter storage costs - that have been paid for all winter on Heron 1 because some Chinese people can’t find a pen.

I’m not upset Abzzba.

Looks like Doc was right (again) to be cautious about last weeks price action. It’s looking fairly baseless as things stand. Roll on the RNS so we will all at least have some fresh facts to consider

Yeah the only way a raise won’t be needed is if they sell Heron.

Even if they get a JV / offtake type deal that won’t immediately cover costs, infact I’d expect any JV partner would want to be repaid their CAPEX pretty quickly.

Incidentally that interview was late November and the Mongolians took (another) 6 weeks to approve the deal. That’s how desperate they are to help MATD.

Given last weeks spike looks increasingly like a bit of fun and games from the MMs and traders, I suspect we’re now heading for a Thursday operational update saying little of material note. It might say the deal has been signed but I can’t see a sale of Heron at this stage because if they knew that was coming why increase the amount of shares they can issue?
