Hello Longwait,
"Welcome back, Double! As you can see, we are battling a Corona-type deramping virus. May I - in the most discreet way possible - enquire as to your current renal status (bearing in mind that the share price dipped below 15p while you were away)?"
Yes, of course you may ask, and I'll try to give an honest answer.
First of all, I'd like to say that the reason my scribbles have become infrequent here (also remarked upon by others via off-board PM) is that I feel that this BB has become full of a lot of silliness promulgated by people not heard of until recently, and being the self-agrandiosing sort of person I am, I feel it below my stature to reply to their posts. Hubris? Yeah, I'm full of it!
However, that said, back to your question. Regarding my excretory conditions, specifically renal, but you're forgetting another. Rectal. So let's deal with that first.
Am I cr***ing myself because of this alarming SP? Answer, NO.
I am now showing a 'paper loss' for the first time since investing in HUR, and have taken some little top-slices and traded a bit over the years, so in fact overall (come to think of it) am still in profit. (Though have already spent those monies in wild living, women, and beer). But the current 'paper loss' annoys me.
Enough rectal stuff, now to the renal.
Am I p**sed off? Yes, I am. BUT (would like to underline) not with the company. All's going well, seemingly. But this share appears to have been 'picked-on' by a certain trading community making a concerted effort to pick scales of the big fish's back, and thus convince others that the fish is dead.
Yes, I'm annoyed with this. Over a couple of decades, I've been invested in a number of AIM-listed shares, and there's no way I'd be stupid (nor dishonest enough) to say they've all been 'winners'. Some had good ideas, but never got 'em properly on-track, issued more shares, carried on bumbling around just to keep directors in money, and so on. LOSS. Really big win, though, on an Aussie Lithium mine which got into a takeover war. Others? Win some, lose some. It's the name of the game.
But never have I seen anything like this. And what's happening has nothing to do with PI's, neither. There's something happening in the background, and the City people are taking advantage of it. To the PI's 'expense' of course, but how many LTH 'small investors' are here, any more? Not many, I'll bet.
'Takeover price'? Minimum 60p. The holders of the CB's won't go for less.
