Artrader,
"as a lot of seem to forget; nothing has happened yet."
I beg to disagree with you, in that Article 40 was 'triggered', and thus there's now a deadline.
A couple of weekends back the habitual O/T turned to politics and Brexit, which made for depressing reading! But given that this BB is about shares, investing, and the 'market', I don't think that Boyzee's question is so O/T, even so.
I live in France, so see the entire thing from a certain distance. Nevertheless I follow UK news closely, and consider Boyzee's labelling of the 'Brexit Issue' as a 'shambles' is quite correct. And I think it will get worse.
Personally I'm very wary about talking about 'the market' as though it were some hydra-headed beast with which one's in constant battle. Because as a PI shareholder I'm part of that market, and thus my own actions may affect it, even in a miniscule 'butterfly effect' way.
The Brexit thing has already had an impact on my own investments (including HUR) simply due to the drop in exchange value of sterling against the euro. And it hurts. And when something causes me to feel pain, I think twice about approaching the thing that's hurt me already, and do so in a rather wary manner. I don't think I'm the only person to behave that way. So without any particular evidence to support this, I nevertheless suspect that Brexit and the pitiful shambolic 'politics' currently reigning in Britain is off-putting to foreign investment, particularly at this time of year.
Mind you, other than countries like Laos and Outer Mongolia, most of the rest of the world seems to be behaving in a pitifully childish shambolic manner as well...
