Yes, it is odd.

In fact, the whole load of sub-divisions of the company formed a couple of years ago strikes me as odd, or rather, interesting, and it's rather difficult to find detail about how it all fits into the corporate structure. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't been the subject of some more 'sleuthing' by contributors to the various BB's, because it's something which seems to have never been completely explained, and doesn't show up on the website. I don't personally think it's sinister or suspicious, but it's a question mark.

No, personally, I don't. But it has to be stupendous. This is a reason why nobody should underestimate the whole thing. The Rona Ridge actually is that: an underwater ridge, rising up on the W. Atlantic margin. An 'amplifier' for anything the ocean's throwing at it.

Not a nice place to be, but just like always, the oil's to be found in the nastiest places.

They didn't add that 'greenwater protection' to the FPSO just for show.

About nine or ten years ago I went to Amsterdam to catch up with Little Feat on their European tour. A fantastic dance-hall sort of place, which I think was once a church. I spent the entire concert propping up the bar, from where the best view was to be had, and the accoustics fabulous. Don't know how I found the way back to my hotel...

If for whatever weird reason I should find myself sometime in the future in Newcastle, though, I now know where to go, so thanks.

I feel that if you're a genuine PI, with belief in the company, its objectives, management, and ultimate profitabibility to your and everyone's benefit, you should hold your stock position. Whether it be an O&G company or fast-food pizza.

It seems to me that this BB is becoming a bit 'polarised'. Forgetting the assorted trolls and spread-bettors, there is one side genuinely interested in what the company's doing, and there seems to be another, perpetually saying that what the company's doing is wrong, either operationally, or in corporate terms.

Like dogs fighting over a bone.

I still ponder over what might have happened if a huge accident on the motorway last September hadn't held me up, caused me to miss my plane, and prevented me from going to play poker in Marrakesh. What if?

Now (getting back on-topic) our FPSO's sitting happily and safely in the Cromarty Firth, waiting on weather. And I'm glad she is, because evidently if they'd tried to 'push things' there could have been a REAL problem.

Patience, as always, is the watchword. And if some idiots drive the SP down to 40 in the interim, I'll play 'em at their own game! Mortgage the cat, buy some, and sell when it gets back to 45 or so...

But I don't think that'll happen, so sitting tight for now.
