RE: This morning’s RNS28 Mar 2019 20:40
SiPP,
"Just found the webcast that accompanies the 2018 Presentation, just started listening...
https://www.hurricaneenergy.com/investors/presentations"
Many thanks.
I still have to re-read the report in todays RNS, but got onto this first.
Click the link for the presentation, but ALSO the commentary. Run 'em in parallel.
All I can say is 'wow'.
Dr T sounds slighty tired, vocally, but I get the impression that even he is slightly overwhelmed, putting the thing together as a 'presentation', with what's been achieved, what's to come, and what will follow on. A long way from his garden shed.
(Reading across, with increases in staffing, BoD etc., it MUST be a bit overwhelming, but he's still a dam good CEO, even if the whole thing's growing bigger than he might have ever envisaged, and more complex. Plus I was happy to hear the way he handed over to Stobie from time to time regarding the financials.)
Highlights I immediately noted: page 5, the Wood report. 'Largest undeveloped resources on UK shelf'; what a graph!
A CMD upcoming: that will be interesting.
The decrease of OPEX / POO into POO teens. Again, wow!
Extra FPSO on GWA. My apologies to some about that, especially the now-gone Ricfle. But only for GWA. I still see platforms for GLA FFD.
A slight mention of SP being 'counter-intuitive'. No sh*t. But (hopefully) things will change. One day. When people wake up.
The implication that Hurricane is investigating 'go it alone' for GLA FFD. A startling idea, and a wind-change, but seeing who they're getting onboard at BoD level, why not? If BP and Shell carry on dragging their heels, they'd better be ready for some 'mavericks' coming in and upsetting their apple-carts.
OK, enough rambling. Time to go re-read the report again. But the presentation alighned with the commentary is maybe enough for now.
