TBT, you sum it up well, Mongolia need that oil, MATADs block XX is the only untapped fields where oil production can hugely boosted, Petro China and even Sinopec/Dongsheng fields are old and played out with production now falling.

Update on the farmout would be appreciated and lets not forget H2, despite the efforts and hopes of our FREAK friends H2 still lives and MB seems quite adamant we have commercial oil there, agreed its putting up a fight but sure MB will squeeze it out, this year would be good but as the last RNS states the well will can be shut in for the winter and further remediation options will be evaluated for next year, expect H2 news very soon.

With Gazelle having been monitored for the last few weeks i think we can expect the production to be increased, worth remembering Gazelle is free flowing so the beam pump is not being used to pump the oil out, slow but steady is fine by me, more so given we are now cash generative at 350 bopd and that could easily be 400 bopd plus with a little tweak of the choke at Gazelle.

Avo, obviously something in that, with Brent trading just under $64 today we obviously get less per barrel as we get paid based on the price of oil on the day our oil is produced, today we will net around $37 per barrel,

"The realised oil price for May was USD 60.7/bbl, USD 65.2/bbl for June and USD 64.4/bbl for July" (feel free to check those figures).

The realised price being the price PC paid to MATAD, we then need to subtract around 20% for the PSC terms.

So see figures below for May, June & July.

May $60.70 less 20% we received per barrel circa $48.56.

June $65.20 less 20% we received per barrel circa $52.16

July $64.40 less 20% we received per barrel circa $51.52

Kind of obvious to most (except Unnd, Adw etc), the higher Brent is the more we get.

Seems most are placing their bets on a Sinopec deal, i will stick with the Indians, OVL Videsh, they are the overseas susiduary of ONGC India, for what its worth i believe a buyout offer for block XX will be received from OVL, in all honesty OVL would not want to enter the Mongolian oilfield and start wild cat drilling, they will want a proven producing field and block XX is the only one that fits the bill, i also have my doubts if they would want to share (farmout), case of wait and see but pretty sure we will hear something before the year end, big news lies just ahead.

Gadgie, regards your Gazelle question yesterday, i have just received an e mail from MATAD, assuming reservoir pressure holds up we have every chance of increasing production, but it needs monitored for a few weeks just to ensure no issues before we make that increase.

Also good to hear they have been prudent and installed a beam pump as well just in case natural flow slows,

Thank you for your enquiry. Gazelle-1 is producing by natural flow. The beam pump has been installed to avoid any production interruption if/when artificial lift becomes necessary to lift the crude oil to surface.

Would expect Gazelle to be monitored for at least a few weeks before opening the choke to higher production, slow but steady is fine by me, more so given we are now cash generative.

Gadgie, i think Gazelle is free flowing (no beam pump) i e mailed yesterday asking the question, no reply yet.

Hopefully it is as it will mean easier to increase flow, beam pumps have more limitations production wise but as long as there is reservoir pressure we can increase production, fingers crossed reservoir pressure stays high.
