Anyone got examples of companies released from sanctions and now trading again

Ben, compounding is reinvesting dividend or interest in account or stock. Then next year you get interest on interest , or dividends on dividends from on the previous years.

Over time this compounding effect can greatly increase the investment value. But not always.

Reinvested my dividends , bought when Liz truss was making a mess.

Do we ever see this recovering to the 300s?

Glad I bought at 1750 and 1900 last year , so far.

Think we will be lucky to trade again within 5 years, not 2.

Not really bothered if this rises in the next few years. If it does it stops me reinvesting and compounding. I only need it to be high in 30 years , when I decide to sell. In the meantime I want to reinvest , then retire on the income before selling up

My average was about 110p before this consolidation.

If you are old and invested at BT’s height , there probably isn’t much flex in your investment strategy.

I’m half Mandy’s age and kept over £100,000 on the sidelines waiting for opportunities and only bought during the last two years crashes.

Just because I’ve bought some stocks low, and Mandy has bought some high, doesn’t mean our comments should influence.

Fundamentals dictate investment, not an individuals age, cash, holding or appetite.

You would need to do your research, but 514 is considered low and it’s also before ex date.

Still worth buying long term. Phnx ex date is 28th great time to buy that

Also have shares in PHNX and bought a few in ABDN under 150 when truss was causing mayhem
