take your point but wouldn't a completed set of Trial results (or maybe even stunning interims) be a better announcement?
We know that the chances are good that Covidity et al will produce the results we want to see, but the formal Trial results are surely the oxygen the SP needs?
We've been fed a rich diet of explanations about the science (and how wonderful it is). I believe now (or ASAP) is the time to produce the Data from the hat and PROVE the IP's all it's cracked up to be.
That means regulatorily acceptable data that tells Pharma the product(s) are commercialy viable.
Irrefutable Trial results are what's needed now. That'll stop Scancell being "under the Radar " (which I suspect is a misnomer in any case).
Give the Commercial world Great trial results (even interims) and then I believe Scancell might get some real attention SP wise.

I agree with your comments.

In my view (FWIW) you can issue as many "Updates" as you like. Scancell have been notoriously thin on Updates for the last ten years!
What we really NEED is DATA, DATA DATA.
If the data's good nobody will give a monkeys about progression of any talks or whatever background stuff Scancell are involved in. The majority of holders (IMV) want to see what the Company's done/are doing with the IP.
They want RESULTS (well, as long as they're good! :-)

I don't care how far along recruitment is. All I want to see is proof of the IP ASAP, and I bet that's really what matters to anyone who's been holding for years.
Oh, and maybe Data might be what RM and Vulpes want to see too.
It's a waiting game but it's going to be crunch time soon (hopefully).
Let's see what the DATA says.

For me the latest information in yesterday's RNS is the fact that the "Market" (not the stockmarket) but the end market for Parsortix are demonstrating faith in the product without it being a Company led Publicity campaign by Angle.
This, to me, is highly significant.

correct.
In the circumstances I think it best for us simply to agree to disagree.

If I understand your point about RM wanting to take the company completely, I bet that's the last thing they'd want. As to the reason for the share release to LD who knows what or who started the ball rolling?
Hoping to see the SP do the right thing when we get some DATA. I remain of the opinion that'll be the value driver here.

As a final thought on the 2.38M PI sale, taking your figures it might well be that the transfer of shares had not taken place by December 21st Or maybe it still hasn't (or even - perish the thought- that the holdings update was botched).
Even so as you say the latest (audited) numbers when we see them should solve the problem!

I take my hat off to you for all the work you put into your research.
The Sep 21 RNS states,
"As part of the refreshed incentive package arrangements and the transaction above, Professor Durrant will no longer be interested in the 1,933,327 shares which were held jointly by the Employee Benefit Trust and Professor Durrant."
If maybe we add "Remaining" before "1,933,327" in the original text then that would explain the difference in figures. I'm willing to bet that she held 8,773,960 shares in the Scancell Employee Benefit Trust.
Significantly the new Option award to her was 9m shares (a conveniently rounded up replacement for those gifted to her and then sold maybe?). As a result of the actions RNS'd in Sep last year she now has a Round number of Options similar to the shared shares gifted to her in recognition of her new CEO role.
ALSO
The RNS states that,
"An existing institutional investor has agreed to purchase 4,459,681 of the Shares at 20.38p pence per share and a private individual has agreed to purchase 2,380,952 shares at 21 pence per share."
Since the second buyer is "a private individual " and since M Diggle has been conspicuously careful in declaring buys of 100K shares it would surprise me no end if the 2,380,952 shares are in his hands.
Further to this the holding of the 2,380,952 shares to the private holder is less than 0.3% of the Company and so would seem unlikely to create a holdings RNS (unless to an existing major shareholder close to a trigger level) so all in all I'm not sure the evidence is conclusive that Diggle holds them is correct.
Don't forget D Evans held (or holds) 9M shares so even if he had bought the PI shares he'd be nowhere near notifiable.
So all in all I reckon the problem is possibly to do with semantics in the RNS. Maybe someone would like to ask Scancell if they think it worth pursuing (which I don't).
Otherwise, for what it's worth, I received a notification of a filing at Companies House this evening for both Scancell and Zakari. Talk about excited..... only to find it was a simple housekeeping notification! It did get me going for a few minutes though.
