So what's stopping Scancell doing what Burble suggested, setting up a dedicated information source and telling its shareholders?
Why all the need for investors as you put it, "reasonably expecting" and "imagining"?

Actually there is, Scancell could share the information they have in order that Shareholders might be fully appraised of progress such as it is, (or might be reasonably expected).
That information gives shareholders choices.

Again I don't fundamentally disagree with your comments... BUT Burble makes a salient point about a reference point for Trial progression and thus information.
A natural line of travel for many when information is not freely available is to asume the worst, or maybe even, "what are they hiding from us?".
A freely available source of information would make those who want to know rather than guess at progress could therefore make a reasoned decision as to whether to stay invested or not.
As it is that reasoned decision when in possession of all available facts is not an option for many.
Hope that clarifies my thoughts.

Burble, well mused. I agree that it would be great to see a centralised, regularly updated page much as you describe. AT least it would dispel any niggling thoughts such as, "what's going on? What have they got to hide?" Radio silence is one thing. Blanket lack of information which could easily be made available is another.
Why on earth have we heard nothing? What have they got to hide?
Not a great situation is it Scancell?
Sadly nothing seems to have changed in 10 years in the keeping of investors updated.
What have they got to hide or is it merely a lack of respect for shareholders?

I do agree that there is value in today's news but it seems to me that Scancell are always in the van of new developments/discoveries, but what they singularly fail to achieve is monetisation of the new discoveries.
I hope that today's news is translated into capital, but does this maybe reflect the fact that our esteemed CSO is also the CEO. the balance of scancell's progress seems always to be slanted to the Science rather than the Commercial.
That seems to be what the SP is looking at so far today.
Maybe we can recover the enthusiasm shown in the small rise earlier, but it looks a bit like good news is once more treated with little or no positive price movement.
Seems odd.

Two points.
Firstly apologies for derailing your thread which makes points supporting my earlier post concerning the BODs apparent lack of Commerialisation "drive".
Secondly I was replying to a point made by a poster who responded to your thread. I have sympathy with the points you made in your post in "Updates" and would suggest you repost your first post under the new thread "Update 2" .
Hopefully that will allow your original points to be duscussed.

Simply that many who read BBs might believe that some posters who have an outstanding track record (sells at the top of the market etc) and regular well publicised "sage" comments can easily be trapped and influenced by the guys who frequently make the "right decisions".
It concerns me that a chain of posts and regular boasts of trading successes should at least tally. I read those posts and the trades stick either because they're so good or even the opposite.
Is it wrong to point out discrepancies when they appear from the particular traders' posts?
Don't forget that if they had never been claimed, the challenge would never have been made.
I could understand you comment if I should not have been taking the claims seriously. I have done and I'm sure many others will have looked at the posts in question in the same way.

OK, sorry but since you post your successes with pride all I did was read them.
From your memorable post on 26th September last,

" The most I got to holding wise was 254k an amount that seemed ridiculous on my my budget when I bought in at 38.8p, not the 41p I thought. Circumstances led me to sell 40k at 27.7p so I doubled my investment on that, and I will sell 20k if we get to 35p-40p still holding 190k."
So that means that you held 210,000 at the end of September.
No further reported trades until 15th Feb when you posted,

So although your levels differ from post to post you actually have 230,000 shares if the September post and the Feb one are to be believed but only 180K if we take what you posted today.
Those who post their trades and prices should expect to be challenged if their figures don't tally.
I don't post my trades because I prefer to keep my private situation to myself.
You however don't keep your private finances to yourself so it's only reasonable to challenge such posting if it is put up on a Public BB to show how well the poster has done.
C7, sadly your figures do not tally, so you therefore can't expect to be believed.
If you can show posts that I've missed that demonstrate you hold 180K shares I will respond appropriately, but since many posters here will be annoyed with themselves for holding through the drop, please do not make them feel worse by misreporting your trades.
I'm sure it's a clerical error but I do think you hold nearly 50K shares more than you admit to.
I don't share my trades and don't claim to have sold at the top of the market. You do so it's fair to challenge any mistakes that might pop up.

I'm not sure that there's sufficient "Drive" in the BOD to fully commercialise the IP so I'm beginning to lower my own ideas of what can be achieved by the present incumbents at Scancell (irrespective of the promise of the Assets).
Still living in hope but if I could get 60p in the near future I'd be a very happy bunny.
Given the collapse in the SP since the beginning of the year and the BOD's reliance on Vulpes' occasional purchases of 100K/250K shareblocks to support the SP it isn't a particularly inspiring management technique.
Maybe we'll hear something positive soon.

I read it on ADVFN some time ago.
Can't remember the exact details but it went along the lines of , "this where I see the SP" (of Sancell) at specific dates in the future and then the poster listed dates and prices).
I'll have a look down the ADVFN history when I get the time but it's a bit of a needle and haystack job.
In retrospect it's more funny than anything else, but WTP's post made me think of it!

If you go back a few years there was once a post on here that set out where the SP would be in one month two months and even three months from memory.
That was supposed to be going upwards, but it was COMPLETELY wrong (but incredibly optimistic and bullish). Probably got a few buyers on the back of that prediction.
Of course nobody would be fooled by that sort of stuff now would they?
I wonder whether TF can recall that?
