It would be good if Scancell had a superb PR machine that explained specifically to the World, and also expounded how POTENTIALLY wonderful the Science is.
I've been reading about the world beating science here for years.
What Scancell REALLY needs is a BOD comprised not only of brilliant scientists, BUT a CEO who is able to draw both the Science and Commercial sides of the business together and to look objectively at the way the company is moving (and so projecting an image to the investing public - who mostly don't care about the science as long as its translatable into income flows).
I think we are lacking that happy combination.
Although CH left the company some time ago we've simply replaced him with LD and effectively regressed to 2011.
We don't know why he left.
Frankly I don't give a monkey's what the SP falls to (as long as it recovers when we "use" the IP), and no amount of PR can support a non commercialising company's SP for any length of time.
Scancell has demonstrated this for years.
We now have in place the funding to commercialise some of our (rapidly ageing) IP.
The Data produced by these trials is now crucial for Scancell's survival (and hopefully) monetisation of its assets.
The new stuff (to people like me who don't profess to completely understand the Science) is simply seen as a drain on existing resources. The market's initial indications yesterday demonstrated that is its own initial reaction.
Let's hope the monetisation of our existing elements in trial will allow the Further Development - there's those words again - of yet another part of Scancell's IP. Hopefully that development won't hold us up from our immediate requirement......

I think you've hit the nail on the head with the word, "Diversification".
Change that slightly to Diversion (however incorrect that may be) but I think that is what the market seems to see at the moment.
It might change sooner than we think, but I believe some investors are becoming impatient with the wait for Data.

Good of you to explain that C7 is unable to clearly write what he means (in your estimation that is). I take it you have discussed this with him?
Throwing C7 under the bus by explaining that his post did not convey what he intended to say might have been better left to him, but I can see it would be easier for you to do it with your seemingly greater ability with words and "facts".
It's a bit of a shame you had to help him out. I didn't realise he doesn't have his own ideas.
But anyway thanks for clearing up his inability to express himself, I still don't agree with your comments though.
I'll say no more about this if you leave it alone. :-)
Finally, like you RW, I am always happy when the SP ticks up, but much more importantly I'm waiting for the Data that will keep it aloft!

I must say I'm sceptical of the reasoning behind the "sharing/relaxing" of protection of IP to increase the distribution of Vaccines. Maybe a better course would be for the industry (perhaps in concert with Governments) to provide funding for the manufacture and distribution of vaccines to allow the rapid immunisation of populations globally. When we see the glut (in doses) of Covid vaccines seemingly available in the World today it makes me wonder whether the easing of IP protection is actually necessary - hence my point, "I think that the IP "sharing" potential is best ignored until it happens" as I'm not sure it will ever happen.
As to my point on altruism the first line of your 15.08 makes my point for me, in that anyone on a BB dedicated to share Investment is highly unlikely to be motivated purely altruistically (particularly as a direct donation directly would be clean of all associated costs to the recipient Company). So in my view it would be difficult for a shareholder to be able to claim to be purely altruistic, even though I think some have over the years tried to claim that high moral ground. I apologise unreservedly if that is not the case.
So overall you'll see that I believe there are more practical alternatives for the widespread distribution of vaccines (at least in a pandemic situation) rather than simply easing protection for IP and Patents.
Hope that explains (very basically) my personal views on this.

TF I think that the IP "sharing" potential is best ignored until it happens. I do wonder how investors who profess altruism would react if the IP were actually to become freely available to all.
Now that would be an interesting situation. :-)

I worry that there's an expectation of significant SP gains in advance of Data releases.
There's only so many, "good progress made" RNS that will fuel (or sustain) SP rises.
Early release safety and efficacy information is another matter.
I hope I'm wrong, but I would have expected the serious SP moves to come late 2022 or more sustainably mid 2023.
That's not to say I'd recommend anyone waiting until that flow starts before investing however.

Looking interesting.

Seems to me that many who extolled the benefits of the mysterious Crypto currency market during the frantic rise earlier this year would be completely incapable of explaining why they would endorse the hyped concept that it was a good store of value fo investors' life savings.
Even more interestingly, how would anyone trade such a beast without understanding the linkages of a seemingly non linked "currency" or perhaps its a commodity? Not many seem to understand it (apart from the "controllers" of the mines, but even they seem to have lost their value link.
Tulips from Amsterdam maybe?
Looking forward to seeing some DATA from Scancell later this or early next year. That will be some real world stuff.
