Thanks, if that means that it was a glitch in LSE's system (I'm not up with technical stuff) then I owe Ray an apology. I thought it was odd, but there you go. I did see mention of an echo, but it was wasted on my non technical knowledge as I've never come across anything like that before.
Thanks again DeAarfor the heads up, I'll respond to Ray P if he wants to make any comment/observation on what must seem a poor resonse to him from me.

It all started from Ray Pointer's repost of my 17:06 yesterday after he made a "witty comment" this morning.
I simply asked why he copied it and then reposted immediately after mine. I can only assume it was copied, but then posted here in error.

I think the evidence says it all. Maybe it works like Pavlov's Dogs, a learned auto reaction.
I do remember a few years back where a group got together and recced a poster whose input was far from original or even useful.
That poster gained top poster several times simply because of the "wind up" recs. it was quite funny at the time.
Anyway, i'm sure silly stuff like that never happens now hehe....

I see that as a very sensible and worthwhile line of thought in that it would be possible to gauge the level of buyer interest by the volume and frequency of deals.
I think you ask a very good question in that the supply side of the recent trades will keep an orderly market when even recent indicators have shown only small liquidity in Scancell shares.
Someone asked last week how only a small sale of shares left the market disproportionately lower,
We're now seeing some large buys being comfortably supplied.
So believe Violindog, that you're asking the right question.

Yep, agreed, but it's not been too unusual in the past here.
Have a look at the chart for 2021 and see how wonderfully predictable was the SP from Mar thru Dec last year. Seems a remarkable coincidence that the SP could be so unexciting! LOL

BTW I'm not saying your idea for share distribution is not right, I'm simply (like you) a subscriber to the idea of Supply side being the driver.
Certainly looks that way anyway.

As before I really hope that the buyer is new investor taking advantage of a share supply. I'm not convinced about the idea of share transfers to individuals but the idea of the direction of flow of supply I like .

Glad to see someone believes that there's a supplier of shares into the market and that we don't have PIs dutifully selling to keep the buyer sated.
At some point anyone purporting to "read" the market has to take a view and in that connection I think that the market activity is driven by supply. If people would sit back and think about it it that is a more positive position to take than the alternative that PIs are selling to fund a buyer.
If the PIs are beginning to desert the ship when they're probably only just at Breakeven (if not below) what hope have LTH got?
No, I think this is supply driven and its good to see the market supported thus far.

If PIs aren't selling below 13p and they've been holding for some time, what would persuade them to sell at less than 1p higher when there is a significant buyer/buyers about? Seems strange particularly when ENDs are expected any day.
Any suggestions?

It doesn't!
If everyone thinks that today's large buys are exceptional and the SO has barely risen then those buys are not significant if the stock required to settle is easily supplied by merely tweaking the bid and keeping the offer virtually static.
The significance of the buys is somewhat diluted if you believe that the market is in equilibrium when everyone seems to think are unusual buys, particularly when many think RNSs are imminent.
If the equilibrium is maintained by sellers responding to the small bid increases then the "huge trades" referred to may be huge but are ultimately insignificant if they can be supplied by the MMs simply tweaking the bid by a few basis points. If the SP had risen by ,say, one of two pence They would be significant.
So either they are significant buys or they're not.
If they are significant (and can't be supplied by small bid increases) either the MMs have an inventory of size, or a source of supply or they're going short.
I believe Violindog made a good point.
If that isn't the case then there are sufficient sellers to sate "huge buys" which C7 says there are, then the buys are not significant in the overall scheme of things.
You can't have it all ways.

Thanks for your reply. I'm genuinely sorry that you feel as you do. I'm also sad that you say I snipe. I have the definition of snipe as,
"Make a sly or petty verbal attack"
I thought I'd dealt with the individual points i wanted to make with reasonable explanation and certainly not sniping. If you feel that that's what i did I apologise.
I made what i considered to be reasoned comments about each aspect of your suggestions and attempted to show why I disagreed. in doing that I thought I was putting the alternative view (to which I subscribe).
i'd hoped in so doing I'd introduced a element of debate. I'm not sure I was correcting you, but putting perhaps a few more (and different) facts and observations into the ring.
Well, we don't seem to agree and that's OK.
I'll echo your last, "As far as I'm concerned the point has been dealt with." and am happy to agree with you there.
In the end things will turn out as they do. Let's hope we both get what we want and in the way we want it.

sorry you feel that way, but in the face of the facts your ideas don't really stand up.
If you'd prefer that (in my view) what are misleading conclusions should be left unchallenged then I can understand your viewpoint.
I did originally post asking why you made some statements a couple of days ago but you seemingly didn't want to respond.
That was a shame. So do you dispute my comments? Happy to discuss point by point if you wish.
