The Japaneese OEM with the AEP under trial is most interesting, unlike naything we have seen before. This whole AEP and then SEE opening a office in Japan points to to substantial partnership.

In the Gentex presentation they clearly stated the name of the OEMs they are in production currently. They also mentioned they will be in production with OEMs in Europe later this year. I heard previously that SmartEye has added the camera and IRLEDs to a Gentex mirror, but i am not sure of that. But it is likely SmartEye has a product using Gentex mirror for the IR and camera.

Having blinking LEDs in the mirror does not mean the camera is housed in the mirror. Having the camera and the LEDs behind mirror doesnot mean the DMS is housed in the mirror.

Listen to Gentex earnings call, they were very clear the OEMS with Gentex mirror DMS are

1. Rivian

2,. Polestar

3. Volvo.

End of the year there is supposed to be couple more OEMS. SmartEye does not have a DMS housed behind the mirror. The LED illumination patterns are also very unique in SM. Gentex in its previous all had said the camera is in the mirror, unclear if the whole DMS is housed there.

The pattern in Kia LEDs are very different , four horizontal each side, not alternate strobe. Its not the same as in the Skoda

Overall SEE might have spent above of 250 million dollars to build this business.

@Kingsmen I have been reading up on this trying to figure out what Tim Edwards / Mike Lenne is trying here with Perception Mapping. This is what I have surmised.

The idea here is to get an answer to the question - What is happening inside the car. As to why this could be important. i suggest this video on how teenagers dies trying to get out of a burning tesla, because of hidden mechanical door handles and malfunction of electrical ones.

An 3D cabin perception mapping is trying to answer this very question, would have in a successful case, figured out through some AI LLM model - "PEOPLE UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR, ELECTRICAL MALFUCTION". This type of understanding will allow the OEM to then deploy some action, lets say audible alert as to where the mechanical door handle is located.

This is a very specific use case. But if Seeing Machines can deploy a perception AI, that works independent of the camera position , model etc and answer this question clearly for OEM to take certain action.

the answer to what is happening inside the car , could be as trivial as occupants are interested something off road, occupants love/hate certain audio to life threatening scenarios.

Looks like the company wording in RNS was accurate, it said more than 6000 units. I think they are confident to do 6000 plus this quarter. But have to wait for the actual shipping details out of Malaysia of Gen3 to confirm

I am seeing large shipment for the Gen3 haptic unit already out of Hong Kong. Timing might indicate SEE was waiting for 14 million to shore up balance sheet to begin gen3 production run.

3322 Kgs in 330 Containers. Not sure what the weight of the haptic unit is, my guess would be less than 0.5k.

Going by the number of haptic units, i would say we are currently doing a production run for more than 6500 units.

Historically we should see the shipment details of Gen3 units a month to confirm
