lloyds offering 2.23 over ten years, 2.55 over five, and 2.66 over two all at no fees. i don't remember that happening before.
last autumn you could get 1.29 over five years, no fee.

Where? Profits for 22/23 are forecast to be below 21/22. Why are you confident that LLOYDS could maintain progress from 3.21p per share in the years ahead? i thought the BOD plan was to make the business more attractive by diversifying and supporting the SP through buybacks.

Mostly I see LTI answering a bit straight but entirely consistently. In return getting an avalanche of abuse aimed at them. Seems to be the only motivation some people have in posting.
I prefer the LTI brand of dogma and abruptness to the often obsequious and sometimes sycophantic posts between those who gang up to offload their insults and criticisms against LTI. Some of which are at times highly personal.

By your estimation then I must be truly sub - zilch. I know a lot less than LTI (its obvious from comments) and therefore value their opinion. I am grateful for most peoples comments (including yours) but do not feel as if they teach me as much about finance & share-dealing. There seems to be a few well informed people including LTI, a few absolute fruitcakes and a lot of people, like me, who might best be described as somewhere in between.

if you're referring to housing benefit levels they already exist but on the face of what LLOYDS have said so far they are intending to be landlords to the young professional priced out class, not benefit claimants.
I don't predict a rosy future either so didn't disagree, but there is always hope that it wont be the worst scenario.

this bit is nonsense, you are trying to pretend lloyds will be singled out as a landlord for rent caps. Reintroducing rent caps requires new legislation and would in any case most likely delegate decisions to local levels.

is also dependent on opening a current account with them first. That will discourage a few. Smartphone access only will discourage a few more. I don't doubt its the way its going but I cant see a mass exodus from traditional accounts overnight. Older generations who could benefit most from somewhere to park their life time savings may not find this as attractive as it sounds.

Thats good news then. I have no idea what a "Tier 1 securities purchase programme" is to be honest, but it reads as a £421M spend with intent to "cancel securities".

do you know if the £2B is all intended for ordinary share purchase and cancellation? I see an RNS today about "Tier 1 securities purchase programme" and I wondered if that money comes from the same £2B or is a separate pot.
