Interesting bit of news this morning, with a market cap of just less than £170m they should take a look at Foxtons as first call.

But I thought I'd post this one as there are so many.

Everyone in the industry knows that Foxtons are breaking performance records and are streets ahead of their competitors and are on course for their best ever trading year since 2014.

With the reach outside of Greater London with those recent acquisitions, it's new build section can only further enhance its already impressive performance for this year with collaborations with Berkeley Group and now Barratt developments.

Interesting news and chat over the weekend and this afternoon.

It was only in May when Lomond was touted at being sold off for over £100m and here we are now some six months later and a valuation for Lomond at circa £450m.

Agree that Foxtons have a higher quality of rental stock and thus some doubling and more in terms of turnover compared to Lomond and has little or no debt when compared to the debt of Lomond group (financed in-house by Lloyds !).

Some interesting trade today in what could be a very interesting week ahead.

Just reading all the posts below but as I mentioned last week despite the near 25% drop since the highs of the Summer and now at the low of the year in Sterling and in US Dollar terms we still haven't seen any evidence of any big sellers in the market.

If anything we saw all those big buyers of Foxtons stock in the Summer whilst the price didn't move and no new RNS holdings reported to the LSE despite all those instus suddenly acquiring more than 5% of the company on the quiet.

Market is trying to shake the weak holders and like Rightmove shares, US Banks,

Hedge Funds and private equity are all over them.

Market is trying to instigate fear, classic old style MM tactics but no-one is falling for it !!!

Any price under £6.00 is a bargain as we all know that Rightmove is ' in play' since that pathetic takeover approach

I sold some gold bullion on Friday as I think Gold may have run its race for 2024 and now have a nice wedge to go to battle with, top here or Foxtons ??

Stock dips below £6.00 for the first time since REA failed in their poor smash and grab attempt and if by magic 1.8m shares crossed this afternoon.

Hi Kerching, your frustrations are e aptly what those US Banks and private equity are banking on to lure out some big sellers.

It's not working with the share price now nearing the lowest since January.

You have to realise that the Yanks are in control of world markets through their infinite printing of the US Dollar.

They could quite easily call stocks down at a flick of a switch or instigate another financial crash as they have done back through history.

Converium and Mr 4% have gone very quiet since calling for a sale of the company, imagine how they feel or have they already been given the nid ahead of us??

Foxtons as a business is getting stronger a d stronger whilst the share is getting weaker and weaker.

Makes perfect sense, eh ???

We started off with those Q3 figures, the best set of numbers since 2015, followed by the acquisitions of Haslams Estate agents and Imagine property group and then yesterday despite all the analysts 'expert' doomongering the budget wasn't the hammer blow to the sector that everyone was forecasting !!

Remember with those new bolt-on acquisitions the tenant count on a 'reserved' basis from management is now at around round 32,000.

Yet another strong performance from Foxtons. I mentioned earlier in the year that I thought 2024 could be a record year for the company and I see no reason to change my mind.

If anything Q4 which by industry standards tends to be the quietest time of the year for estate agents could well be the busiest quarter for Foxtons !!

I posted this list a couple of times already this year and the count is ever increasing and expect it to accelerate a bit faster after the budget towards the end of the month.

What is intriguing about this latest update is that it's now just full of minnows in the industry that nobody wants, the last of the 'chancers' if you like that have milked the property market in the low interest rate arena of the last ten years or so.

Nothing for Gittins & Co. to get their teeth into so plenty of cash still in the Foxtons coffers from last year and trading this year.

Days are numbered for Foxtons as we know, maybe a nice Special dividend farewell for us shareholders next week in what looks to be the last ever set of results from Foxtons.

I mentioned a few weeks back that my wife and I met a nice family on holiday and the father was an estate agent in the West End of London.

Well, we hosted a dinner party at the weekend for them and another nice couple we met and he said that October and indeed this last quarter of the year could be the best ever quarter for his business.

So much so that he has told his staff that unless they've already booked holidays no-one can go book new holidays from now and until Christmas.

He said that with the unrest in the Middle East his company is seeing unprecedented demand from not only UK clients and ex-pats but from clients looking to get out of the Middle East whom have UK business interests before Airlines stop all flights in and out to the Middle East.

And for the Budget ?? What budget, he reckons whatever Ms. Reeves announces at the end of the month will have negligable effect on the property market as Middle Eastern clients and UK expats especially look to secure property either through sales or the rental market.

Mr. Gettings must be feeling like the cat that has got the cream, his return to Foxtons was perfect timing I give him that !
