All eyes on the UK Election result tomorrow ??4 Jul 2024 11:51
Well, truth be told it won't make a great of difference to Foxtons. Sales are still nicely ahead of estimates, more recently built apartments are coming to the market as leaseholders give up the option to renew now expensive mortgages as well as trying to stomach increased service charges and maintenance costs.
We are also seeing large houses coming up for sale as owners are fearing the prospect of huge Capital gains taxed under a Labour government, so a nice bit of sales commission heading the way of Foxtons as these get sold.
The American Banks, private equity and hedge funds want shares as we know as around 65% of Foxtons shares are still held with institutions without a seller in sight despite all the game play since 70p.
Tomorrow is Friday and we've seen the tree shakes in the past few months, tomorrow we could hear all the nonsense about how Labour will destroy the housing market etc. so I'm expecting another nice buying opportunity tomorrow or Monday.
Bring it on !
