Does anyone here have a view or clue about what the FY2022 dividend might be?
Midpoint guidance for 2022 is 445,000 koz and AISC US1350.
Analysts consensus for Jan 2022 is we'll get a divi of 6.4 cents but at the same time they seem to be expecting AISC of 1249 - below minimum guidance. I don't understand this?
30% of FCF is 'ringfenced' for the divi and Messrs Horgan and Jerrard tell us the dividend is 'sacrosanct'.
All guesses gratefully received?

If Barrick wanted to hammer the share price to pick up CEY on the cheap, wouldn't they be better off ignoring key maintenance issues, failing to properly investigate the true dimension and grade of the ore body and decreasing operational mining efficiency rather than improving it?
Unless they sneakily bought in massively at 80-something... any sign they've done this?

Could it be that there are some nice surprises in the finals - a few numbers ahead of expectations say - and they're starting to leak out? This is a cynical guess based on my sad old git view of human nature, nothing more.

I can't pretend to really understand CFDs or UTs or even Comex very well. What I think I know is roughly: inflation + more QE + central bank repression of base rate + labour shortage = rampant inflation = gold is good. The SP tanking so far so fast has to be down to insti/major shareholders dumping large volumes of stock. Why are they doing this? I think it is because the mine has been badly run for several years and that has come home to roost. Horgan is putting it right but it is going to cost and the shareholders are going to have to pay. In a couple of years the business will start reaping the benefits. Who wants to wait that long? In the meantime my understanding of the GP is that inflation in single digits generally leads to better returns on cash which depresses the GP. But if you believe that much greater inflation is inevitable after 10 years of QE and central banks being unable to raise bank rate anywhere near CPI or RPI, much less above it which is where it needs to be... then I'm very happy to buy into a company that's going to be churning out half a million ounces of inflation-proof asset for the next 12 years, especially at prices close to a 5-year low.
