As though all the other banks are hendling it so well.

My business banking is with Barclays who have been an utter shambles since day 1 of CBILS never mind BBL. At every opportunity Barclays are blocking CBILS and BBL and offering their commerical lending first, with personal guarantees, fees and at 8% + interest with the carrot of almost instant availability.

If you tunr that down you are sent into a black hole to have to wait for the government lending to be processed.

We got out MP involved, 24 hrs later we had a BBL in our account.

In hindsight we don;t now need it, we're one of those businesses that seems to be flourishing (we're E commerce) but you'd be daft not to take the facility.

Ambulance chasers the lot of them.

CBILS is an absolute shambles. Really I can't oversate what an enormous mess is it when you start delving into the small print.

I've been trying to apply for one for our business via Barclays - as soon as we jumped through all the "do you qualify" hoops successfully we were immediately offered Barclays finance at an eye watering interest rate requiring Directors personal guarantees. On the grounds we'd been offered commerical funding we then "no longer qualified" for a CBILS loan.

We've now gone to funding circle to see if they will be of assistance.

This is a ticking time bomb and the fuse runs out in a bout a weeks time for many businesses.

Their population is less than 10% of the UK. We're not comparing apples with apples.

Norway has always been top or close to the top of every measurable wealth and wellbeing barometer that exists in modern times.

They are so far ahead of the UK in wealth, standard of living and personal wellbeing it's no surprise they are in far better shape than us.

Ever tried to get a beer in Norway though?

Norways GDP per capita is almost double the UK. Of course they are in a better position, almost 100% better.

Bloomberg may be more interested in huge operations likes Foxconn and the like rather than the bread and butter factories that we deal with (or jimdson's clients) which could be more dynamic.

We're also E commerce but in a very niche industry.

Well it appears I seem to have more accurate data than Bloomberg, at least in the market segment in which I'm involved.

I'm dealing with this first hand rather then through hearsay. I own a business that imports from China. The factories that we use have been up and running for a while and we have firm production and completion date for all products we've ordered.

We're expecting shipments to leave before the end of March and in mid April. So it will be interesting to see how these unfold and if transport is a problem (we use air freight) or if port entry and customs clearance are compromised.

In reality, given the proximity of Chinese New Year, our orders and productions are probably only 3-4 weeks delayed in the grand scheme of things.

So we'll have the stock, what will be interesting to see is if we still have customers over the coming weeks/months.

We've largely been unaffected to date, in fact we've just had our best January ever and second best February since we began trading.

Where is the evidence of this transaction(s)? is this more idle speculation or does it have some substance?

Would the disposal (if it did take place) have required a TR1? Was the holding that large?

Yeah I'm a real disruptive force here aren't I...

So in April when you receive your new allowance of £20,000 (assuming it's the same as last year). You call your broker and they sell £20K worth of your shares from your trading account and buy them back in your ISA account.

Once in your ISA they are ring fenced for tax purposes.

Just phone them and ask for a "Bed & ISA".

Be aware that the sale part of this transaction can sometimes create a tax event as the actual sale of the shares is from a standard trading account - so if your £20K's worth of shares have increased in value since you bought them you'll need to account for the increase in your tax return. Of course if they've dropped or are about the same it's a non issue.

The Conservatives are set to win an overall majority of 86 in the general election, according to an exit poll for the BBC, ITV and Sky News.

The survey taken at UK polling stations suggests the Tories will get 368 MPs - 50 more than at the 2017 election - when all the results have been counted.

Labour would get 191, the Lib Dems 13, the Brexit Party none and the SNP 55.

The Green Party will still have one MP and Plaid Cymru will lose one seat for a total of three, the survey suggests.
