The one you're referring to is the one based in China.

I'd register to take part in their IPO, Scooby to try to find out. But they require your phone number and would probably call me in the early hours with the time difference and get me out of bed.

As I say, I can't find their IPO on the major stock markets for the remainder of this year.

I've been trying to get hold of more info regarding United Hydrogen's promised IPO. Having trawled through various stock markets listed IPOs for the remainder of 2024 they are nowhere to be seen - unless I've missed something.

April of last year they were talking of going public by the end of 2023 with 37 companies under their umbrella. They are still talking about going public ( no date) but the figure being mentioned now is 25.

National Hydrogen fundraise is now closed, and has been for a long time, which I assumed meant they had raised the necessary finance independent of United's IPO. But now I'm wondering whether their going forward and confirming contracts with PHE is conditional on the IPO being undertaken.

My caution comes from being an ex Sirius Minerals investor. I lost seven years there, getting out with just a slight profit. You live and learn. Hopefully learn anyway. Completely different to Powerhouse, yet at the same time many similarities too. The bulletin board over there was just like here with such opposing views. On that one though I sided with those who were where you are now. As I say, hence my caution and questioning of everything here. At one stage Sirius had an Mcap of a billion pound, no turnover and on AIM to boot. Equivalent to Powerhouse approximately 25p a share. So crazy things can happen.

Never doubted what could happen.

It is one for me. I have bought and sold it several times. Hope to buy again at some point and to tap into some of that potential.

I also respect those such as yourself who have chosen to buy at this stage and intend to ride it out.

But whether invested now or with intentions to invest further down the line, it's in the interests of both sides of the divide to discuss and challenge the other. But most of all to consider all measured opinions objectively.

Are you referring to United Hydrogen regarding your concerns?

It is interesting stuff, yes.

As I say, not exactly the same as PHE, but interesting insight into how even big undertakings by top companies can have unforeseen problems during the building and commissioning procedure.

Hopefully PHE won't have any such problems, but it all has to be considered.

Google 'Air Products pyrolysis failure' if you fancy looking into it.

I'm certainly not saying because they failed it means PHE shall. Yes, the technology here is different to what they were attempting to set up, but if they had unforeseen problems building and commissioning their technology to the extent they had to write off a billion dollars then anyone can.

I'll try and give you a reasoned argument. I will with you because, despite your positivity you do seem to consider other viewpoints objectively, as indeed I try to.

I didn't reply today, but was tuned in, as your disagreement was with others.

I have to admit to being confused by your comment that those who were being negative were doing so at the incertitude and incredulity at the figures from the AGM, and in doing so turning a positive into a negative.

Surely, you are referring to yourself and those in your camp when you say that?

For if anyone is finding disbelief and uncertainty in the figures, it is yourself. I think it was Thaiger who extrapolated a market capitalisation based on the figures from the AGM and a PE ratio of 15 (which seems a sensible figure to me).

The figure quoted was a million pound per site and there will be five sites ( please correct me if I'm wrong on that as I'm going by what other posters have reported from the AGM). Based on that information, that's a turnover of five million a year. On a PE ratio of 15 that gives a Mcap of 75 million (approx 1.75p to 2p a share). These are rough figures, but not that rough.

So where are you getting your 12p per share forecast from?

You can't just pull it out of the air or choose it because that's a previous high.

If you're saying 12p a share then either your predicting a forward PE of 100! Or, your saying Paul Emmitt has got his sums wrong and instead of five sites there are going to be about 32 sites working on a PE of 15.

You can't accuse people of not having credulity in the figures when they are believing those figures to come to their Mcap. Yes, the share price has been up to 12p previously, but without fundamental support, which is why it's back down here. It could go there again. But you can't surely base your investments on anything other than extrapolated figures?

If you're hoping, planning, expecting PHE to be a company like Amazon etc in it's early years, an interrupter in the market place, it's share price here reflective of what happened there, then good luck to you. I'm not going to dismiss that could happen. But please don't accuse those who work from official figures given by the company of treating those same figures with incredulity.

As for why some have doubts about the technology, then Air Products aborted foray into this market some years ago may be a reason why the general market is a tad apprehensive at this stage.

after going on to united hydrogen of australia's website and following various links i inadvertently went over to a company of the same name, but based in china. it's they who are listing on nasdaq.

however, the bit about united hydrogen of australia running the 37 companies under its umbrella was correct.

That seems a pretty fair PE ratio to apply.

IE- Approximately 1.75p a share.

No doubt those who shouted the loudest recently about warrants etc being issued at a discount, only for them to be offload as they see it, and in doing so suppressing the share price, either voted for it or abstained.

Have you seen latest update from United Hydrogen regarding their listing?

They are going on the NASDAQ third quarter of this year. However, the IPO you were talking and asking about a few days ago isn't their chosen path to get there. They are doing a reverse merger with a health company, which is a SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) - a shell company for the purpose of companies that want to list but who don't want to go down the IPO route. Estimated value of company when listed $1.6bn.

Also, the management of United Hydrogen run all companies under their umbrella.

I'm hoping you don't ask me to provide a link as to where I got that last bit of info, or where it's from. I went down that many rabbit holes on the internet to find it when I tried to retrieve it later to tell you where, I couldn't find it. But it is out there somewhere.
