Most start up companies with supposed ground breaking technology on the anvil aimed at a worldwide market that is set to rise exponentially over the coming years would be going at it 24/7.

I do hope they're not resting today.

Because if they're going at it as I suspect they are, as good and as promising as the technology is, they're going to get left behind.

I think the penny has dropped with him, Red. He just doesn't like to admit he got it wrong. He's done what he always does when he's called out to be incorrect: go quiet for a while and then come back when he thinks his idiocy has blown over.

Early this morning he referred to the White's having 10%.

About lunchtime, after being corrected, he then referred to them making a dent in their 15%.

So, like when he got the wrong United Hydrogen, he comes back without being man enough to admit he got it wrong.

He's having a bad day altogether. Down 7% here today and down 7% over on ENET. He's topped up their today too apparently. The Old Kent Road must be worth more than I thought these days.

No doubt this post shall illicit some kind of childish reply that you and I are in fact one, told we write like children and if he's feeling really hacked off shall generate a couple of clown emojis.

At the risk of speaking for Red, for I know he'll do so perfectly well for himself when he's able, he didn't say Josh White sold 1%. He said the White family had sold 1%.

And Red is also correct about the White family holding. It is 15%. Not 10% as you state.

i have to admit to the board that one of them was castle's. i tried to unrecommend it, but it wouldn't allow me.

I think you do the market makers a disservice if you don't mind me saying.

There are many market makers all competing with each other for our business. Each of them potentially having different bid and offer prices as they vie for our trades. In their defence they provide a market that is fluid and instantaneous for those of us who wish to buy and sell immediately without us having to wait for someone to deal with.

They're just like any other business that buys and sells, providing a service and a market and in doing so making their money on the spread.

The thing that a lot of people don't realise when it comes to the market maker's mid price is that it's the mid price of all the market makers' quotes. So if, for example, there are twenty market makers in Powerhouse Energy shares, there could be twenty different bid prices and twenty different ask prices across the board. Those differences may only be slight, but nonetheless all different. The mid price is the price between the highest buy out of the twenty and the lowest sell out of the twenty. And this is what confuses some people when they, for example, buy some shares but it goes through as a sell. Or vice versa. It's because the market maker they have used is probably in the mid range of the twenty and so their buy falls on the sell side of the average.

That's how London South East explained it to me when I queried it with them some years ago.

A one million sell doesn't mean it's one person. Surely it can be just a market maker.

If I may ask a serious question:

What is it about share activity on a day like today that makes some feel there is one large seller offloading their stock?

News, whether good or bad, that impacts the price of a stock is usually made aware of to those in the know before the likes of us on here.

However, I don't think this drop is anything other than normal market activity.

Time shall tell.

If something negative is in the offing, it should become known in the next few days or maybe a week, as that's how things generally happen in my experience.
