From what little I do know about venture capital, and it is a little, they are unwilling to release the money without everything being in place. I would think it reasonable before releasing the funds to National Hydrogen to place orders with PHE that the technology is proven at full scale.

The business model of National Hydrogen is ambitious and aggressive in a market of the future that is going to grow exponentially. But that in itself is not a reason to throw money at start up companies in this sector (which National Hydrogen is) thout due diligence. If I was investing via the venture capital route, I know I would be saying to National Hydrogen, yes you can have my money, but first I want to see proof positive that this technology you are investing in works at full scale.

This could be the reason for the delay.

United Hydrogen is a consortium of 37 hydrogen companies who each need to raise money through venture capital means to move forward. United Hydrogen are not backing National Hydrogen financially. The 37 companies, headed by Richard Allan, have just come together to pool their experience within the emerging Hydrogen market. Individually they have to raise their capital requirements through venture capital firms.

That's my understanding of it anyway.

Not knowing a great deal about venture capital, I'm unsure whether National Hydrogen fund raise being now closed even means they have raised the required funds.

If you Google Richard Allan of United Hydrogen there is a half hour interview with him. I'd recommend it as it gives a good insight into National Hydrogen fund raise.

Your post goes against everything that a bulletin board such as this one is for. The whole point of our interaction on here is to discuss (hopefully respectfully) a common interest. To put forward viewpoints as to how we see things, whilst at the same time listening to others opinions. Just because someone isn't invested doesn't mean they can't have an interest, and it certainly doesn't mean they have an agenda.

You've clearly taken the view that you believe PHE shall succeed, have invested in that notion, and are now sitting back for it to happen. If that works for you then great. Go for it. As you indeed are. Others, such as myself, also believe in PHE. However, our minds are more questioning on the road to get there. Personally, I'm not a good Samaritan. Neither am I here to prevent others from losing money. In fact, I honestly don't care how much others may lose or make. As for an agenda, my only reason for posting is to hopefully interact with intelligent and genuine posters who can help further and better my understanding in an area I have a great deal of interest in, and in doing so aid my financial investments.

If I may say, you are playing a dangerous game the way you are investing here. Nascent company in an evolving sector where many companies shall succeed, but where many shall also fail. It is dynamic, fluid and ever changing. To invest at this stage and to then close your eyes and your mind as to how your investment is going, to simply say that you believe in the technology and to not question or, more importantly, seek answers for perfectly reasonable questions and comments put forward by the likes of Red hornet and myself is nonsensical.

I feel that funding isn't happening as planned.

The very nature of National Hydrogen's funding to place orders with PHE, coupled with a delay that a CEO can't explain, despite being in contact with Australia everyday, surely warrants some serious questions to be asked by investors here.

However, I don't think it's make or break for PHE. Just another potentially frustrating situation for shareholders that could drag the share price down on news of a failure to raise finance. My focus as a previous shareholder, and hopefully a future one too, is getting PHE technology to the stage where we can show the world it works. If PHE can do that then the orders will flood in and the share price will go up dramatically. Until that happens it's typical AIM stock: lots of investors getting overly excited, thinking they are going to make life changing amounts of money on a cert, whilst shouting down those who pose sensible questions as derampers who don't have skin in the game.

I asked this on here yesterday. The answer seems to be that no one knows, whilst at the same time some posters keep saying it's imminent. Having looked up the official meaning of imminent, I fail to see how that can be the case.

He gives an insight into the financial side of things regarding the fund raise required to purchase from PHE. His interview, if you listen between the lines, opens up what could be happening behind the scenes.

I'm just trying to put all the info and clues together to try to find out what's going on behind the scenes. I'm torn between the next RNS stating the Australian deal has been confirmed, in doing so pushing the share price up to maybe 3p plus, or an RNS informing of further delays.

Where are you getting the 'imminent' from regarding the Australian deal?

Why is no one questioning how National H2 fund raise is going, which they need to be successful in order to place orders with PHE?

National hydrogen of Australia said in the first quarter of last year that in the first half of 2024 they would be operational with PHE technology and that in the third quarter of 2024 further sites would be planned.

Is anyone concerned as to how they are raising the money to invest here? IE - throught CVEX?

Surely the signs are that they are struggling to raise the necessary finance?

Paul Emmitt has himself said he thought the deal would have been sorted by now.

Happy to be corrected by informed and respectful contributors if I have any of that wrong.

That's it Swazers, you get back to just the good stuff which, of course, there is plenty, and which, no doubt, makes you feel all cosseted and secure. In the meantime I'll take a more balanced view, looking at all possible angles and potential outcomes. Not to be negative or to deramp. Merely to consider the things that you are dismissing and which, in doing so, you may come to regret.

I suppose we all form our different opinions on posters. I'm sure Red Hornet will answer that in due course. What he / she says seems accurate to me.

My father has never owned a share in his life, but has a general interest in the stock market. Four years ago he advised me to buy some Rolls Royce shares.

Some of the best advice and insight can come from those who don't own shares or have skin in the game, as it's often put. Those who are honest and have a genuine interest in a company or sector, and who don't hold shares, tend to look at things objectively and more rationally than those who hold shares, especially those who have held for a long time and unknowingly and unwittingly become emotionally attached. Any savvy investor surely listens to all well intended viewpoints, particularly from those on the outside looking in.

That must surely be good financial and investment advice applicable to any share.

My take on the interview is positive. I just have some caveats too.

Whilst Emmitt didn't say verbatim that he didn't know why the contracts hadn't been confirmed (apologies if that was misleading of me), but him saying he thought they would have been by now came across that way to me.

He seems a genuine guy. Reminds me of a heating enginer about to do a video demonstration on how to strip down a boiler. I hope everything hoped for by investors here comes to pass. I just don't think the road to get there is going to be as straight forward as some think.

In a couple of your posts tonight you've said that Paul Emmitt in his interview has said he expected the contracts to be signed 'yesterday' and that they were imminent. I've watched the interview with him and at no point have I heard him say that.

Whilst it's fairly bullish the interview, there are caveats in there for investors and potential investors. Namely, he reminds us all that PHE is a start up company, and seen as much by the investment community. He also tells us how PHE is now at the beck and call of the client. What concerns me mostly is his revelation that he is in contact with National Hydrogen Australia EVERY day and does not know why, despite having secured funding, they have not placed a purchase order yet. Any investor here, no matter how bullish, needs to take that on board, for nothing is a given. Yes, PHE could release an RNS tomorrow stating orders have been placed, in which case I think there could be a big spike in the share price, but to not even consider that there could equally be an RNS stating National Hydrogen Australia have postponed or even cancelled potential orders with PHE on the back of what Emmitt has revealed is idiotic from an investment point of view.

Another thing Emmitt has alluded to is potential delays in the construction build. Nothing in particular, but he has reminded us that these things do happen.

I have to agree with Red Hornet about where the share price is likely to now go and the investment advice given in his/her posts.

A million shares, or a £1,000,000 worth of shares?

I don't feel that anything underhand is going on here. Game changing technology driven by a board who seem focussed and honest with their intentions of bringing it to fruition. However, I think that some LTH have allowed themselves to fall for the possibility, in some cases expectations, that this share is going to go through the roof. In doing so it's stopped them looking at it objectively.

I first got in here some years ago just before they shot up to 12p. Total fluke. The only thing is I went on holiday straight after buying them and never looked at them, so they were on the way down again before I realised what I'd missed. I've bought and sold them a dozen or so times since then. Always getting out with a profit. As an ex Sirius Minerals investor I am acutely aware of how AIM stock can be highly volatile and how their bulletin boards are occupied by posters whose expectations are completely out of keeping with what's really going on.

Yes, not for Berkshire Hathaway as you say. Buffet has also lost hundreds of billions on bad investment decisions too. Something which he freely admits to. Different horses for different courses comparing his position to most ordinary investors. You're correct in your overall analysis. However, I have to admit that I sold all the PHE shares I bought a few weeks ago at just over a penny, locking in an approximate 30% gain. I've done so because I think the holder of the warrants issued this week shall gradually off load them, in doing so suppressing the share price and pushing it closer to the 1p level. At which point I'll get back in. The only thing that's causing me to think this shall happen is because I've asked myself what I would do if I suddenly found myself with a 500% plus profit on paper. The answer is I'd sell most, if not all of them. Of course, I could be wrong and PHE shoot up next week. But my gut feeling is they won't. I can't see the arrival of the kiln having much of an impact on the share price in the immediate few months.

Warren Buffet also says not to invest in start up companies who generate cash only from investors, as doing so means you may be investing into a bubble. I think as an investor in a company, if you're going to apply the Buffet line you need to ask yourself just one question: would he buy shares in Powerhouse Energy.

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't based on his general investment criteria.

That's not to say I think PHE isn't a good investment. Merely that his quotes shouldn't be cherry picked to bolster ones confidence in an investment here.
