Carbon neutral?6 Oct 2024 23:13
Only last week Castle was continuing to argue his long standing belief that Powerhouse technology is carbon neutral; this week he's getting excited about government grants for carbon capture to help resurrect a company project that's dead in the water.
Leading global scientists are urging all governments not to go down the carbon capture route as the technology is unproven and merely gives the green light to fossil producing industries to continue polluting. The leading scientists have stated that the Teeside CCS shall still allow 20 million tonnes of CO2 to be produced over its lifetime. They argue that only truly green hydrogen produced via electrolysis along with renewable sources of power are the only means to get to net zero.
I have to say, Castle the significant news that has been missed this week ( or was it just ignored) was the update on the United Hydrogen website concerning their IPO.
For months and months now you've banged the drum for the imminent news from Australia concerning funding for Powerhouse which shall come via their successful IPO. And yet you said absolutely nothing about their CEO giving an update in which he revealed they are struggling to get United's IPO over the line due to a combination of economic conditions and, more worryingly for their IPO, their business model. For the first time Will Davidson revealed that United Hydrogen is loss making.
United Hydrogen are not allowed to talk about National Hydrogen. Read into that what you will.
Whilst United/National Hydrogen is not the be all and end all for Powerhouse's hoped for success, their recent report and accounts gives it far more importance than Protos. And yet it's Protos you focus on, choosing to ignore the United Hydrogen update earlier in the week to instead talk about the wine you shall be drinking, your castle [sic] and determining the success of Powerhouse by how long the shadows shall be cast at Stonehenge.
