Latest broker ratings from Bernstein and Deutsche both have targets of 180. They are not all doom and gloom.

It is obvious that AML is being played with and would take most narration on this board with a pinch of salt. Best to do your own research and remember why you bought in the first place. Circa 95% of rights shares were taken up. I really don't think those shareholders will be selling them now at a loss. This has been driven down on low volume so it will not take too much for it to rise on low volume but when it does start to rise you will have the benefit of not only the buyers buying but the shorts closing their positions.

It seems crazy that the mkt cap is still below £49m. The way sterling is going it could reach parity with the US$ which makes this look even cheaper. I don't think it will be long before we get some company changing news.

It would seem as though somebody does want to take AML private or at least pick up cheap stock having to go to the expense of employing a Lord Haw Haw to continually denounce the virtues of the company.

Makes Aston cars cheaper for foreign buyers too.

Most probably MM's doing a bit of tree shaking to frighten off weak holders.

I have been picking a few takeover targets recently with TED and DARK getting offers this week. The offer for TED was way below what I was expecting but generally speaking the outlook for retail in the next 18 months looks pretty bleak. The good thing with KOD is that the running costs/staff numbers are low and they have a lithium mine with a NPV of over $550m. There could also be further uplift as they have a large area that hasn't been explored. This represents a great risk reward investment imho.

The NPV of the lithium assets are over $550m. Surely a takeover offer has to be over 1p...

I wouldn't be surprised if Sycamore come back. They must be feeling a ****ed off that their offers were turned down to be beaten by a 110 bid which is down from the initial reported offer of 160. They obviously didn't want to go higher but they saw value at 140 yet their offer was rejected as the Bod deemed their offer was not enough. Incompetence at its best.

I am now invested in 80% in commodities as I just don't trust BOD's anymore and this just goes to prove it. Strangely enough another holding I have, Darktrace are rumoured to have an offer and they are up more than TED. Why though would Tosca agree to 110 when they were buying in the 140's a few months ago. There must be something we don't know that they do. Let's face it the market makers new what was going on as they kept the share price under 90p to make the price of 110 look appealing. It just seems bent to me...

This is just ridiculous and it goes to show what a corrupt market it is. The Bod turned down three offers from Sycamore that were all higher. Will they come back? Let's hope so as 110 is a joke.

If it wasn't happening we would have heard. I would assume they are dealing with more than one interested bidders. Discussions of this magnitude take time and I'm sure the Bod are trying to get the best deal for their shareholders. If potential bidders have come up with low bids they would have told them to foxtrot. I still think they will get a bid and hopefully north of 150.

I wonder if Next are a potential bidder or investor. It looks as though they will take a 25% interest in Joules. I wonder if they are offering the same type of deal with Ted.

Next had a good update today and increased forecasts due to the hot weather. This should give confidence to the potential bidders. We can't be too far off now until a bid is announced.

I can't see them accepting much less than £300m. Tosca were buying in the 150's only a few months ago so having close on 30% of the company they won't accept 130. My money is Tosca putting in a bid of 150 - 170.

I agree. I just wonder though if Tosca will wait until they have a firm bid for Talktalk. One thing for sure though they must be in the running as they would have been buying more shares at this price because a few months ago they were paying about 80% more.

Tosca have been in Ted for some time and buying in at much higher prices. The general retail outlook isn't great at the moment but the current mkt cap is too low. I would say 140 + is on the cards. Ted have opened again in Gatwick and have opened a new store in Milton Keynes. The management must have faith in order to do this.

I reckon it could be a real possibility as I don't think they have bought more shares since the update of the preferred bidder pulling out. Tosca were close to the 30% mark and perhaps their lack of buying maybe because they are now in talks. They were paying over 140 just before the announcement. We should find out sooner or later but at this price the risk reward looks compelling imho.
