Darktrace buying and QCM closing their short says it all. I doubt they really want to waste their time or effort on a bunch of kite-flyers.

They were on 1.3% previously. With Dark buying and hedge funds closing shorts what do you think will happen next week?
I think we are on for a short squeeze. The market will smell blood and go in for the kill.
I can imagine professors at universities using this as a case study on hedge fund manipulation backfiring. You never know this may prompt bodies such as the FCA to do something as it's a bloody embarrassment and highlights how pathetic and useless they are.

I note that QCM have reduced their short to 1.1% as of the 2nd Feb. It just goes to show that they don't stand by their 70 page bogus report. It was obviously done for either them to make money for themselves or to bring the price down for a cheap takeover. With regards to a takeover, it's not just Thoma Bravo that would be interested.

We will have a better idea of how things are progressing on the 8th March. I'm quite confident that although this is an unwanted distraction for the directors they are more than capable with handling this situation. In fact they are probably ****ing themselves laughing if quotes from glassdoor is the best QCM have.

Personally I think they have handled this situation perfectly as they have more than outplayed the hedge funds but what do you expect when you have some of the brightest minds working there.

Unfortunately some posters on here are upset they didn't buy at an earlier stage. Using scare tactics on some may work but anyone with half a brain can see the merits of KOD. I think holders are on for a good ride here as there is plenty to look forward too. I believe we are in good hands with Bernard and I keep adding on any weakness.

It could and should go a lot higher than 350 in the next 12 months. As of the 1st Feb, Numis are on 520 and Berenberg at 600. I agree with them. The only reason we are at these low levels is because of a smear campaign built on jack. I really hope the financial institutions stand up and take notice. QCM should either put up or shut up.

It depends what their initial intention was. Were they used to discredit Dark in order for a cheap buyout? I wouldn't be surprised if Dark know having many ex M15, GCHQ and FBI employees. Probably not the brightest idea to bully and persecute a company like Dark especially when you do it based on NO FOUNDATION and hide behind disclaimers.
Dark don't need Thoma Bravo. They will do very well on their own.

What's the betting that Marshall Wace will also be going long right now and then just swap it. They will not want to be seen to openly close their short gradually for obvious reasons. They must surely see they are in check mate and have been outplayed by Dark.

If QCM had any repute before, I think you can safely say they have lost it now.

It wouldn't surprise me if Thomabravo are backing QCM in order to knock the price down. If Thomabravo come back I hope they are told to foxtrot oscar.

I would say the good news here is that QCM can't BUY BACK THEIR SHORT as if they do they are going to look like muppets after just releasing a bogus report. Marshall Wace will probably buy back as I'm sure they will not want to be associated with these clowns. Dark will buy back more shares and I'm sure many PI's will too which will result in a higher share price which in turn leads to a bigger loss for QCM. I wonder if Dark release any new products on the 8th. That would be nice wouldn't it.

I wonder if Dark will be able to purchase all the shares below 400. It's quite a sizeable amount considering the usual volume is less than 2m a day. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the hedge funds want to get out before the results in March pushing up the price. I see QCM have upped their short. I wouldn't be surprised to see JPM announce a short above 0.5% soon. They must be pretty close as my beliefs come to fruition. It shouldn't take the rest of you to join up the dots soon.

Hedge funds are a law unto themselves. I think they have buggered up here. I wonder how many shares they can borrow, any ideas?

I think this is a great story for the press. Fat cat brexit and Tory backing hedge funds attack the company protecting the NHS from cyber attacks. The Labour party should be all over this too especially as Rishi is an ex hedge fund manager. This is going to look very bad for Marsahall Wace. Perhaps it's time they had the dirty done on them.

Jack Stockdale bought not long ago. You obviously don't like the news Newkotb You aren't short are you? I wouldn't want to be shorting this on the back of some phoney report. If QCM had real conviction they would have put out a damning report rather than one full of guff.

Great RNS. It shows positivity and belief in the company from the bod. The shorters were not expecting this as literally all the companies they short have debt and can't do this. I'm buying more.

This report has been published to crash Dark's share price in order for a US company to take it over on the cheap. It happens all the time. It's so transparent.

It's a total scam and QCM shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. Having said that on the positive side it has enabled me to pick up a lot of shares on the cheap.

And we have an ex para from Israel wanting to do more damage. I wonder where his backers come from?
