JPM have increased their target to 210 from 200. Like I said a week or two ago there will be a bear squeeze here. I don't always agree with brokers targets but this is easily obtainable.

I doubt Tosca will get a better time to take advantage of the cheap price. He could pick this up now and re list it in a few years for multiples of the current valuation. He could probably get away with offering 150.

This has become a bit of a slog and I can't blame you Sity. I have a smaller position here than before and fortunately I have done better else where. When I sold some here I put some of the proceeds into BT and got a good gain and a dividend and I sold 70% off at 198 and put it into Hoc at 102 last week. Anyway good luck.

You make some valid points and I think the media have been paid off to concentrate on rubbish like Borris having cake on his birthday rather than concentrating on real issues like the Ukraine and Taiwan. The west has to come together as it has been rather disjointed of late for numerous reasons and this has been taken advantage of by the Russians. The west's response should have been harder and issued stronger sanctions as soon as military forces were building up on the Ukrainan border.

Yes, our thoughts have to be with those in the Ukraine right now. If we think we are being bombarded at least it is just with shares falling rather than bombs. My concern though is that Putin is unhinged probably not that dissimilar to Hitler. The Chinese should come out and condemn him for what he is doing but unfortunately the commies stick together. They will continue to buy Russian goods even if the rest of the world doesn't.

I picked a few more up today. I think this has been overdone but the markets are strange. With a bit of luck they will pull out another biggie soon.

You can believe that figure. I don't... This has been manipulated. Let's see what happens but the hedge funds have at least allowed me to pick up a lot of shares at a cheap price so I have to thank them for that.

I wonder if the crew shorting this realise that the price of gold and silver has risen. This is just the start of the bear squeeze. I managed to pick up quite a few yesterday. This will rerate quite sharply imho.

It does seem rather illogical to continually bash a stock and portend to buy.

I wouldn't bother feeding the troll as he/she is clearly shorting the stock. Most probably working for one of the hedge funds. Who would waste their time otherwise, oh I forgot he or she is related to the Hochschild family. Lol

Liberum have issued a buy on Ted of 225 today.

The problem is that a few of us have had a long term attitude and it hasn't got us anywhere. I lost patience and sold some late last year. Gem should put Lesteng up for sale not to look for other mines as the bod are not up to it. Like I have said before, the asset is good but unfortunately the bod aren't. With rising diamond prices this shouldn't be languishing in the 40's.

Good question Dave. Perhaps the dividend or another big find will spark the ignition. Gem certainly does need a rocket under it...

I do still have a bit and I will probably increase it over the coming months. I used the sale proceeds to purchase BT and Vod which has worked out rather well.
What could be interesting is how the diamond market will react if Russia invades Ukraine. The stock markets will wobble but we must not forget that the largest diamond miner in the world is Alrosa. What will happen to Russian goods around the world when sanctions are introduced and what does that mean for diamond prices and miners? Add in inflation into the mix and company's like Gem could get a rerate. It is bound to be an interesting year if nothing else.
