It's rather strange how they didn't put an Rns out over the latest find. It's as though they don't want the share price to increase. I suppose if a mbo was on the cards they would want to keep the price as low as possible. It makes you wonder...

It has been pushed down to create fear so weak holders sell. This will probably be taken over if it goes down much lower as it's chicken feed to large mining companies which are desperate for lithium plays. I am holding firm fo much greater returns.

Give them a call Dave and tell them to look in the sofa. There is bound to be one there.

Lithium is hot at the moment and this project has significantly been de-risked having obtained the license. A lot will happen in the next few weeks as there will be potential partners lining up.

Most probably a hedge fund shorting. A bit dangerous if a biggie were to turn up or for that matter the bod commenced a share buyback as they have enough cash to buy about a third of the company.

If they commenced a share buyback no doubt the price would rise and with that new money will come in. It's as though they want the price to stay low. Why?

I did mention here a few months ago that this would be taken over. The writing was on the wall...

I agree, something has to happen and let's hope it's sooner rather than later. Another concern is the relationship between the bod and Graff as they are not only a holder but one of their biggest customers, if not the biggest.

Considering Gem are in a net cash position, currently in a rising diamond market and have a mine that produces brilliant and large stones you would think we would have a mc that was closer to the revenue. It's not as though we are on a pe of 20.
I think what puts institutions off from investing is the fact that 6-7 holders own 75% and Gem hasn't rewarded holders with constant dividends. The price is a joke.

There could possibly be further sales of non core assets. Hedge funds will most probably start to unwind their short positions and institutions may decide that now is a good time to invest although they will probably hold back until after the results. It would be good to see us over the 400 mark today for a start...

Obviously the Gem board know something we don't but I think Redwine was referring to the fact that institutions may have been consulted with regards to a potential bid.

The naysayers have said Micro have too much debt, well this is a step in the right direction with reducing it. We should begin our climb up now. Enjoy it...

The valuation is barking mad and it would seem that the bod aren't really bothered by it. Gem would be better served by having a bod which were rewarded by performance and maybe perhaps then would we see a better valuation. How they can justify taking share rewards to then sell them is an insult. I will be voting against them at the next agm if the situation hasn't improved and I can only hope that some of the major shareholders share some of the same conviction...

Gem diamonds had an impairment charge of $546m for the year ended Dec 2008. Perhaps that explains it in a nutshell...
