DIRECTOR DEALINGS: ConvaTec CEO sells shares as goes on medical leave

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of share dealings by London-listed company directors and managers announced on Thursday and Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

ConvaTec Group PLC - London-based medical products - Chief Executive Officer Karim Bitar sells 1.3 million shares at GBP2.27, worth GBP2.8 million, on Thursday. On Monday, Convatec said Bitar will take a medical leave of absence without providing any further details. Chief Financial Officer Jonny Mason will be interim CEO during Bitar's absence. In a statement on Friday, Bitar says: "I have yesterday sold a minority of my shareholding in Convatec. This follows the announcement about my medical leave of absence and is for personal reasons unconnected with Convatec. I continue to retain a substantial stake in Convatec and believe that the business is in very good shape." Convatec doesn't provide Bitar's remaining holding.

Pollen Street Group Ltd - London-based asset manager - Ian Gascoigne, a partner in the firm, sells 58,963 shares at GBP8.48, worth GBP500,006, on Monday.

Smith & Nephew PLC - Watford, England-based medical devices maker - Chief Human Resources Officer Elga Lohler sells 12,560 shares at GBP13.41, worth GBP168,404, on Wednesday.

Vodafone Group PLC - Berkshire, England-based telecommunications provider - Non-Executive Director Christine Ramon buys 138,055 shares at GBP0.83, worth GBP114,668, on Wednesday.

Hollywood Bowl Group PLC - Hemel Hempstead, England-based ten-pin bowling operator - Non-Executive Director Ivan Schofield buys 29,900 shares at GBP2.44 and GBP2.51, worth GBP62,913, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Oakley Capital Investments Ltd - provides access to private equity funds managed by investment adviser Oakley Capital Ltd - Director Fiona Beck buys 7,500 shares at 560.80p, worth GBP42,060, on Tuesday. Beck now has 67,500 shares.
