Character Group PLC - Surrey, England-based company that makes toy, games and gifts - Announces contracts have been exchanged for the sale of its UK overspill warehousing facility at Vernon Works in Oldham, Lancashire for GBP3.5 million in cash to an undisclosed buyer. Says completion is scheduled to take place on January 29. Notes it acquired the facility in July 2011 for GBP1.8 million, and it had a net book value of GBP1.4 million at August 31.
