Director dealings: Darktrace execs make large sales, Card Factory directors invest

Thu, 05th May 2022 12:59

(Sharecast News) - Card Factory had two entries on Thursday's list of director buys, after two of its board members bought shares in the company.

The greetings card and gifts retailer said its chief executive officer Darcy Wilson-Rymer bought 94,076 shares at 60.39p each, spending a total of £56,814.38.

It also disclosed that non-executive director Rob McWilliam bought 32,221 of its shares for 61.45p apiece, for a total of £19,799.48.

Both purchases were made on Wednesday, one day after Card Factory said it had returned to profit in its final results for the 2022 financial year.

Following the transaction, the company said Wilson-Rymer had a beneficial interest in 178,188 of its shares and McWilliam in 32,578 shares, representing 0.052% and 0.001% of its issued capital, respectively.

On the selling side of the ledger, Darktrace reported two director sales valued in the millions of pounds, as part of its previously-announced block sale.

The FTSE 250 cybersecurity specialist said chief executive Poppy Gustafsson sold 575,000 shares for 410p each, netting a total of £2,357,499.95.

Chief technology officer Jack Stockdale, meanwhile, sold 375,000 shares for the same price, making that transaction worth £1,357,500.

The company said both transactions took place on 29 April, and were part of the block sale it announced on 13 April.

It added that the amounts sold were less than 10% of Gustafsson's and Stocksale's respected vested and unvested holdings in Darktrace.
