BERLIN, March 12 (Reuters) - Germany would continue to use
the AstraZeneca vaccine despite the decision of other
countries to pause distribution, Health Minister Jens Spahn said
on Friday.
"We will continue to follow the European Medicines Agency
advice," Spahn told a news conference, adding that he
"regretted" the decision of "some countries" to halt
administration of the vaccine.
Lothar Wieler, head of the Robert Koch Institute for
Infectious Diseases, added that there was no statistical
evidence of excess mortality following the administration of any
coronavirus vaccine.
