, B-Book refers to a trade execution model used by brokers where they take the opposite side of their clients’ trades rather than passing them onto the open market (A-Book).

B-Book is where we take the client on ie they lose we win and A-Book is where the broker instead of taking the risk passes it on and just earns a small commission. ( A book is basically for the sharp traders where Plus hedges that flow ( no risk) and BBook is for the retail flow where Plus thinks they aren’t good traders hence plus happy to take them on.

Volatility is great for Plus................so why the share price has fallen into the £26's is beyond me..................and IG Group have just come out with some good figures too...........precisely because of this volatile period.............don't understand why we're not pressing forward from the £28.50+ we were at less than, what, a month ago? Thoughts?

I'm sure that's the difference between 'us' (Plus) and CMC and other rivals............they hedge, we don't, so to speak. I'm pretty certain that was true a couple of years (when this topic was raised) and I've not anything since that dissuades of that opinion............but maybe the foray in America has changed things? Or changed the services they offer (and therefore hedging is part of that service?). But look - I've not been (or ever in fact) forensically looking into Plus's accounts etc so I might be factually wrong.
