RE: Meridian debut12 May 2026 14:53
For those who are also interested in individual stock plays, I'm astounded that neither the ADVFN or LSE Bulletin Boards have picked up Meridian Mining (MNO).
It may be that there is a Premium BB on ADVFN but if you search MNO on the free site you get 'Maestro Group'
And on LSE there is just my one post from 5 days ago (Meridian Debut).
This is extraordinary and I wonder how long it will be before investors wake up to this extraordinary Gold play
MNO has been quoted in Toronto for 30 years; it debuted at CAD 0.33 (c18p) and has traded between 5c and $2, but things really took off from 10 March 2025 when they issued a PFS on Cabacal.
And heres the significance...
The PFS targeted 140,000 ounces (thats $660 million a year) of Annual production from a company then valued at a fraction of its current c£500 million...
And heres the thing...in March 2025 when they did the PFS the IRR was 61%! Thats sexy enough but it was done when Gold was $2800/ounce...
They debuted in London on 30 April with a £25 million issue that was three times oversubscribed. Listed on 1 May I managed to scrape £50,000 of shares in a very thin market.
Their stated objective in getting a London Listing is to join the FTSE Allshare index and then the FTSE250. They're already bigger than 7 constituents and as the SP progresses its only a matter of time...
When ATYM completed their redomiciliation in January 2025, with a view to a FTSE250 Listing the SP was c350...after their FTSE250 inclusion the shares rose from 388 to 676 in just 5 months before hitting 1074 jus 9 months after the inclusion.
Can I be clear, this is NOT a self serving ramp. The lack of any BB posts is proof that virtually no-one knows about them.
Although the SP has risen to 102p there is still an opportunity to get into this 'ground floor' London listed gold mining share...and how many others offer such an opportunity. IMO this could be a £1 billion (£2/share) by the end of 2026, especially with a DFS to come and if the Gold price continues to recover.
Good luck and EOE
