In or out ? Results 0700 on the 19th
SP has been relatively calm in the lead up for what will be record breaking results and leave YU on a PE of around 7.
Never mind the massive cash pile which could weave its way back to loyal investors through a special dividend and share buy back. Hopefully confirmation Tuesday as I for one would be very happy with either or both especially the size of which has been muted by Liberium
Sorry not 1305 posts :-) just 54 but a member since 2020...
Really a novis sharholder with 1305 posts..... maybe as sparky says - or it might be nothing to do with a fund - could be an investor moving stocks between brokers... loads of possible reasons but we can only speculate.
Ipcutler66
Me being a novis sharholder what is the point in that?
That’s what I think as well I reckon Miton is moving between funds as in allocating more against the dividend fund and reducing the accumulation B as it is approaching 10% of the fund total.
Also end of year tax stuff going on as well. It all seems to be happening around the 1280 to 1300 level. Will be sorted soon enough and not many days now until the big reveal
How big is the dividend
Special dividend ?
Buy back ?
How big was 2023 in terms of EPS
How has 2024 started ?
Lots to come out
They look like a set of managed matching trades, sells and buys totalling 25k shares over 6 trades - possibly a fund manager buying and selling in and out of different funds?
Why would trades have a time stamp that far out of trading hours?
I missed the time on the latter three trades 21:45! YU is keep them busy.
Indeed very odd day so far
And now large trades showing from the 7th? they are busy controlling YU sp.
Couldn’t buy anything to now down 2%, YU does mystify me at times.
With a firm price, but can sells bucket load @1338.
Speaks volumes
I think a lot of the questions and discussion will be around the Shell deal. Is it on better terms, so they pay less, allowing for a bigger gross margin / or pass the lower cost on to customers to increase market share? What are the credit payment terms, have they got an extra month working capital benefit? Does it allow them to go for bigger customers / blue chips to really go for growth? About acquisitions, will they consider buying a whole supplier rather than a book, ie the systems, staff and office premises, how would they integrate this?
Any way, keep an eye out for notice of IM presentation which will allow retail investors to pitch questions.
"End of 2025 would really be going some!" But don't rule it out! This is a great growth stock at the moment, yet priced at the cheaper end of the utility stocks!! Bargain!!
Share split - do you have the stomach for this? You have in the order of 150,000 shares?
As the traders bounce this around by £3 - £4 in a week, isn't it hard enough seeing your holding lose / gain half a million pounds on their games? Let's say we get a decent dividend and SP lifts to £20, and a 4 for 1 split, so the SP adjusts to £5. The traders will still be trading for the £2 plus movements - and your emotions will be going ape as you lose a couple of million on the drops!
Consider LSEG, GAW, AZN, CRDA, RKT, DGE, FOUR, BVXP, AHT, NXT, SPX, JDG. The last one, Judges Scientific has only 7m shares in issue and valued at just over £700m. No share splits, happy on AIM. And I suspect very happy long, long term shareholders.

Hi Sparky, if there is any info on either a share split or a main listing that sort of thing will be in the RNS at 7am on Tuesday 19th March. I shall ask if they think it will be end of 2025 or 2026 that they reach 165,000 meters, which is their medium term target of 5% of the Total Addressable Market. Not wanting to pre-empt the answer, but I would hope it is during 2026. End of 2025 would really be going some!
I have a couple,
Share split ?
Main listing ?
5 year plan
Anyone got any good questions for NG ? As he is actually meeting the company on the 19th
Results are pretty nailed on with the exception of the exact turnover, EPS etc and will probably be slightly higher as the bad debt is a lot less than people expected.
As you say the key is outlook and policy going forward on dividend, buy back ? If there is one, main listing ? If even considered.
What ever they choose it will have supporters and moaners.
But fundamentally I want to know how Q1 has progressed and outlook for the FY as things currently stand.
A lot of nervousness here. Very little volume. Results should be in line with brokers, so few traders buying in expecting a beat and not forgetting that the tip sheets are out / taken profits. It all hangs on the dividend policy - needs to be a high enough payout to give yield support to the price. Also, if the hinted special dividend falls short, we can expect a lead-balloon drop on results - made worse by increasing tightness in liquidity - which, as we know works both ways, the rise this morning for example on very low volume.
Last year results were out as the SVB banking crisis broke. The support is ending (Bank Term Funding Program) for the losses on Treasuries and now the crisis in commercial real estate is breaking - looks like they will let these banks fail, but bail out depositors. Not good news for equities in general.

Time is running out for buyers, 3.5 days to be in or out
Agreed and possible share buy back who knows and all very exciting
More excited to see what they say about Divi 😀
FOMO! Here comes the traders ahead of the explosive results a week today!!!
Expecting significant movement up until results day.
