Addickted
Sure but how many of those in the register were fresh fish been reeled in with the bait and lost money. Surely not in sufficent numbers like WRN to have made some proper money for the lads ?
IMHO Whetstone was a smoke screen. Whet imho was designed to deflect attention from the failure of Worthington with the possibility of making a little extra on the side.
Whet gave a glimmer of hope to some wrn shareholders and giving them hope stopped an uprising of anger and hostility towards the wrn board and its sales agents. DC sold to (ex) pals, which means a number of shareholders live local to AE/ DC so an uprising could’ve been very uncomfortable indeed.
sain, you should have a look at the share register - it shows the company had hundreds of investors.
Difficult to see that the lads came out much in front with the launch of WHET. They must have incurred some heavy costs and then suffered from finding anywhere for the shares to be traded .
Sure the hype and candy floss would have reeled in a few fish but difficult to see in sufficent numbers to give the lads more than a few rounds of drinks after costs
I wonder how many have got caught twice
Was it really worth the effort
Yawn
Nothings happening, just a long, slow death.
I got all excited today when I say that II are showing a value against the shares again. Previously they showed the price per share and number of shares, but the total value was £0.00. Now suddenly it has changed to a very nice looking amount. So I checked in here for the first time in 2 years and... it looks like a red herring. Nothing's happening is it?
Held accountable lol , we will all be long gone of old age and I’m 44 before they finally turn the lights off lol ,
Don’t expect any of those involved to be held accountable as they’re very adept at sailing extremely close to the wind.
Unfortunately their skills have never extended to running successful companies that create shareholder value
The channel tunnel never took this long to dig, investigation complete by 2031.
Manifesto
"Is this a record " Nowhere near .
, Chief can kicker himself Biggo has a number of companies which have been in liquidation since 2012 unsettled
An annual feesfest as the liquidator has been playing catchup with inter-company loans which have ping -ponged between the companies .A wild goose chase
These lads certainly know howto keep these balls up in the air .
“Work has continued in the period in relation to a significant debtor although no recovery has been made to date.”
[anyone want to own up? - so who did eat all those pies?]
“Our investigations remain ongoing and these matters remain confidential.”
[FCA are remarkably slow, aren’t they?]
“The proceedings issued by Sevco 5088 Limited have been settle for a relatively nominal sum and no sums will be received by the Company in respect of this.”
[oops, lol! — so, it wasn’t a pot of gold after all. quelle surprise!]
This must be a record..... !
A little part of me still hopes to get my money back....!!!

Stay Safe and Well.
Yes, I think you are correct, thanks.
gregorio, the liquidation of WRN has still not been completed, presumably
because of the many tangled legal issues. administrators remain in charge.
none of the ordinary shareholders will get anything at all back from it.
Hello there - thanks but the link doesn't seem to work.
Me neither. I noticed yesterday, my 'shares' are still in my account. Not the WHET ones though - long gone.
What I don’t understand is why after all these years are WRN still listed, mmmmmmm
i will be really surprised if wrn comes back
Nonsense
Well its all hotting up in Scotland
"It was only because Clark and Whitehouse were so dogged in their determination to clear their names that the truth finally came out. The administrators in the Rangers case spent many years and millions of pounds pursing their claim which they finally won outright last week."
So plenty of greedy hands into the bran tub A huge queue
