I lost faith in holding out on Friday and sold; moved the money into COPL and am up 14% this morning.

My first rule of investing is don't have principles, have profits. It just took me a while to remember that.

I've accepted on most of my shares and been paid but I haven't accepted on 4000 shares and I'm waiting to see what happens. I've set a limit order to sell at £1 and invite Ganfeng to purchase them. It could happen before they delist but who knows.

If they get to 90% it doesn't matter and I get my money anyway, and if they don't get to 90% there'll be a lot small shareholders that can club together and request a higher value.

I'm with II. I accepted on the 22nd, got the cash on the 5th (yesterday). 14 days, exactly as it says on the tin.

Does that actually get shown to the market or does my broker just sit on it until they see a bid at that price?

Well yesterday I decided I couldn't risk tying up all my holding for an indefinite period so I accepted the GFL offer on 15k shares and rejected on another 8k to see if a better offer comes. I hope/believe there will be a revised offer to get rid of us pesky small shareholder but assuming there isn't, and they don't get to 90% approval, what are people's thoughts on ways we could be shafted?

GFL could refuse to buy us out and lock us in but I'd have thought at some point (years from now) dividends must be paid in order for Ganfeng to access the profits of BCN, and with that we will get dividends too.

I've tried to read up as much as possible but what might an average investor (me) have not thought about?

Can BCN be reincorporated abroad? Can BCN 'vote' to sell the mine to GFL directly for a pound?

I got all excited today when I say that II are showing a value against the shares again. Previously they showed the price per share and number of shares, but the total value was £0.00. Now suddenly it has changed to a very nice looking amount. So I checked in here for the first time in 2 years and... it looks like a red herring. Nothing's happening is it?

Regards EGR shares, ii wrote to me and said because my shares are in an ISA I can't take part in the offer. Surely that bars most people from taking part? Useless.

EMH has listed on the NASDAQ today I believe.

My shares are in a SIPP with II and I contacted them about the Gold shares. They said they will remain in the SIPP as it would be illegal to move them outside that wrapper, even though they are unlisted. When they do become listed they will work as normal and still be inside the SIPP. I didn't enquire as to whether they can be sold off-market whilst unlisted but if they can the cash would stay in the SIPP. This is different to ISAs, where shares can be transferred out to a normal trading account.

A cracking RNS this morning and I'm in here with some of my Sirius pittance. Lost 9.5% already thanks to the spread, but hoping for good things; in this for months not days. Hi!

First time posting on SXX, I usually just like to read the board. So the results state 812 shareholders FOR and 502 shareholders AGAINST, with 50% needed to pass. My, perhaps rhetorical, question is that 502 accurate? As a nominee holder am I included in that count or is just 1 for Interactive Investor? If I’m not counted then is there cause to petition the court prior to the final sign off on the basis that nominee share holdings have been unfairly* merged?

*In a previous court case (https://bit.ly/32LIBkE) the judge deemed share splitting was unfair and some votes were discounted, so there is some sort of precedent.
