Picking up a €5million business loan at 3% is good business for any enterprise. Getting it from a reputable bank, Banco Santander, is an endorsement. It enables payment existing €3m loan from Caja Rural de Extremadura and provides a net €2m of additional working capital and liquidity.
The facility allows W to monetise the majority of the €5.million grant, which is also good business.
The facility interest rate is 3% per annum, payable quarterly, with no amortisation and is secured by a pledge over the rights to the Grant funds. This is good business regardless.
Oh and then there’s the gold to come. All imho.
Wish I could get a 5 million loan at 3%... I'd build luxury apartments at makadi bay... flog them bar one and promote mrs bob head of palm tree watering...
I'd watch over her
Put me down for one Bob
We all need someone to watch over us Bob, even Mrs HBob.
Hbob. Days like to day remind me that there is no one watching over us, but if there was it may make life a little more bearable for some. This world is f#cked up. Humans, when will we ignore the chimp? Come on evolution, more slow brain....PLEASE! What some people will do to each other...wow. Just when you thought you'd seen and heard it all. Whiskey is out, the Bushmills (liquor of the gods). Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Oldie, it’s the bad things that sticks in our minds. We often miss the many good things. The key is to not get sucked down into the negative.Last week I saw an account of the White Helmets in Syria as they went back, at great risk, to a bombed hospital and rescued a baby from an incubator. For all the great evil that takes place at this time there are inspirational acts of good. Ultimately the goodness will win through, sometimes it’s hard to see how though. In the meantime, there is nothing any of us have to complain about in our lives here, but perhaps there is a responsibility to try to make things a little better where we can. I believe the sum of the positive in the world to out weigh the negative. Do positive where you can and when you see opportunity-I know Bob, puts effort into helping others. Sometimes good comes from unlikely places
The great evil motivators of the world ‘capitalism and greed may well provide many of the answers faced by mankind. Funny old world really.
Safety. Agreed! Prisons, more beds in fewer cells with longer sentences and plenty of training to skill them up so inmates have a chance at rehabilitation. Let's try it. Society cannot continue on this path. It is not possible. We cant keep locking them up for the same sh#t over and over again. A 3rd way perhaps. Either that or use the Isle of Wight ha. Well, at least there isn't an horrendous virus sweeping the earth hey. Anyone else notice how no one of non-Chinese origin has died yet? Odd that innit.
Oldie, I had noticed that too. We shall see.
Oldie, I ran a boys football team in East London for ten years. It included my son and boys that others didn’t want, autism, global delay in one case, adhd, banned from school, weapons carrying etc. I managed them robustly and treated them with respect, I lost a few souls along the way. But most of them did well and asked me to keep the team going. Over the years we got to be top of the league and two cup finals, referees would often compliment the team on there very good gentlemanly play even when playing dirty but more privileged teams. One Nigerian boy was getting in deep trouble, I intervened and his parents moved away from the locale, I saw him two years later and he gave me a hug and thanked me ( he was doing a levels by then). Another lad I met last month he told me they were the best days of his life, he now plays with my son in his team. So I think by helping my son and having a great time otherwise lost boys saw a better way- all with just a small effort. A few shillings, a little intervention and a little time and lives can be changed. You’re right that’s one investment that saves much for everyone.

I'm saddened by how many brits scream for the death sentence to be restored, hands to cut off robbers, rapists to be castrated.. prison sentences to be harsher and much longer. Its tends be the type of personality that is raging against immigrants from warmer , muslim climates coming here to live and settle.. bringing the punishments of sharia law of execution, limbs removed a d genitals cut off..
Our political gods manage our fears brilliantly..
We are the softest of putty to them.. our souls and churches are barren yet we despise those of other cultural belief mechanisms which have provided much greater inner peacefulness
Not wishing to start a row, but I am suggesting we are so dumb we can't even consider a solution based on love, humanity

A nation constructed on selfishness, greed and fear.
It doesn't have to be like this..
We could change the entire wellbeing of everything truly important by simply smiling at two strangers every day and asking how they are... the most contagious gift ever known is a smile freely offered..
:-))
You have to take the risk of smiling ... one has so far threatened to stab me for smiling and saying good day to them yet..
I've spent a lot of time in some quite interesting environments..
Been ignored a few times like.... lol
Bob, I am saddened too,
Apart from having the utmost sympathy with them, what do you think we, as society, should do with:
A Thieves..
B Robbers.
C. Rapisays
D. Murderers.
Just interested.
Sorry kevin, I thought I'd already suggested a solution, as did safety I think...
Hbob. I generally agree. Safety and K3, yes some humans should never be allowed into society...ever. Hbob. I cannot agree on the Abrahamic religion, absolutely not. No peace there. No, no, no.
OMR - good idea, bring back hanging :-)
Repatriation to somewhere completely inhospitable perhaps. I'm thinking Wales?
Westminster would be more suited
Moggy, certainly a death sentence of some sort for the worse offenders, not necessarily as a deterrent but as a suitable punishment for the crimes that have been committed without any doubt of guilt, for that take Bronson, Neilson and Sutcliffe as examples. They will never contribute to society and cost a fortune to lock up to keep the world a safer place.
P.S. Don't anyone dare say they have human rights, they don't!
We can smile all we want, but unfortunately, there are those that don't think like us, and never will.
They want you dead, your women and children raped, and they will smile at you while thinking it, and laugh about it while doing it.
Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society.
Hurtle, pleased I dont live in your head. Lol
Incidentally, I managed to get allowed to give a job to someone with a record ( it was one incident to be fair). He is my top guy for reliability, output and trust. Just saying. Mind you the demonically possessed and irremediably bad can be shot.
There used to be a Hurtle in the Flying Doctors many years ago....i wonder?
I wonder how much our UK grown crops will cost if farmers have to pay £25k to get them picked, or, alternatively if they can’t get them picked and there is a shortfall ?
Boris will of course be able to afford whatever it costs, but how about the unemployed, how about the poor who are in work, how about those with medical conditions with low incomes, and how about those on fixed incomes like pensioners, will they all be able to afford it.
Those with the money will buy british. Others with less in their pockets will survive on the cheaper imports, via Aldi/Lidl.
Also Fruit picking should be enforced on students, like a type of National Service. Just one day a week.
