This from a previous RNS:-
Hugh Wade-Jones has subscribed through his investment vehicle CHCH Ventures, which will own 21.7% of the voting shares of Woodbois. He is the Founder of Enness Global, a leading debt-advisory business, and is also founder of Guernsey based private debt specialist Tenn Capital, a JV Partnership with US Hedge Fund Elliott Management, which offers specialised debt solutions for complex transactions.
John Scott has also subscribed and will own 10.85% of the voting shares.
Something could be going on - with the Market Makers (not the brokers).
They will be aware of the fact that Hugh Wade-Jones and John Scott can add a further 20% (approx) of the share capital through their warrants. At what point do these men have to make a bid for the company under company legislation because they own a certain % of the share capital? (35%?). Presumably they will be in close touch with the management of the company and can judge when to take up their warrants if they can see that the company will do well. Then make a bid for the remaining shares of company?
These guys are hard-nosed businessmen with experience in this field. They expect to make the real money. The remaining shareholders may get a good price for their shares - my best guess is perhaps triple your investment (3p).
All this is supposition of course but it may suggest why market makers do not want to sell shares at 0.7p when they may get well over that price if they hold on.
To get round the problem on HL site, I did a fill or kill order and the sell went through within minutes.
I can also confirm that through II interactive investor i cannot SELL too. I also tried to do a dummy BUY and it will only let me buy 824 shares ???
Something very strange ???
Just checked and I cant get a quote on selling mine either. Not that I want to at the moment but thought would check if I had the same issue. Also with Hargreaves Lansdown.
Hey USER-NAME,
I had the same issue all afternoon. It could easily make you paranoid LOL.
What broker are you using ?
If it did then my Β£3k would be worth about Β£225k π
I wonder if the sp would ever go back to its highest price of 52p?? Think that was 2011??
I'd be a very happy bunny if it did... I'd be more than a millionaire!
Imagine!
There has not been bad news since the coup in Gabon so we could presume that forestry operations have resumed and money is coming into the company for sales of timber and veneer. At the AGM I would expect a positive view for 2024 now that the new backers are in place. Presumably there will be an update on the carbon credit situation. On that basis I would expect the SP to keep on climbing, with some shareholders taking profits and others taking up those shares sold. The interesting situation is the number of warrants held by the new backers, which is 1200m, and redeemable at 1p. The current number of Ordinary shares is 4289m. Who is an expert in these matters and who can suggest when a warrant holder would exercise their right to redeem at 1p. Clearly the SP could drop 20% if all 1200m warrants were redeemed at the same time and the SP would drop to 0.8p if it was 1p at the time. However, would a warrant holder like to see the SP at 1.5p or above and a positive outcome for the company before giving up their warrants?
For those shareholders hoping that the SP goes above 1.2p to get their long-term expenditure back and get out, this could be an interesting time. But should they be selling at all if the future looks good?
I need 1.60 to break even, if it ever reached there it will be a miracle. Personally I hope it gets to 2p asap
People buying 5p of shares are muppets. People have been making money or losing money on this company for over a year by normal trading but is it the case at the moment that the big gains will be made by those who hold their shares for at least 1 year. The central african states could be subject to Russian or Chinese mal-influence after this time. Is the risk of holding on into 2025 too high?
At least sp is in the 7s been in 6s a long time, may sp keeps upward trend.
& a v tight spread
No offence but who you calling muppets?
Looks like some upward movement
Stuck on 0.70
On my other app 0.72

Samth, you are harsh, or have a very low threshold for muppetry. Sites such 212 are there so people with little funds can still participate, and you clearly understand bed&isa. Isn't the breakfast version at year end?
I bought some of these last year for 4.1p. If I had held I should have a serious paper loss. As it is I have traded for gain (sadly in a taxable account), so I have no regret for making "a few bob gambling on the ups and downs". GL1&a. Make your own decisions: it's your own money.
Wonder what delights it will being???
Sorry
AGM not EGM

No.
What a mixed bunch of muppets today. Some buying Β£3 worth of shares. What is that all about? Someone bed and breakfasting a bunch of shares. Understand that. Others cashing in on an apparent share rise - following other sheep? This is a speculative share which has had a rough passage for over a year but may have weathered the storm. You may make a few bob gambling on ups and downs but the real money is likely to be made if the next RNS shows that the company is making good headway on selling timber now that there are signs of interest rates peaking and inflation coming down. Some mention of progress with carbon credits would be encouraging. I've been a hold for about 9 months and an optimist particularly as the board have shown determination in keeping the company afloat, albeit at a cost to existing investors by adding to the share pool. Patience is a virtue with this one. At the moment it is the market makers who must be rubbing their hands with the number of deals taking place.
Tony42 - Sorry to say I can't see this still being around in 12 months let alone '5-10 years'. Hopefully you bought your shares recently rather than back in the Obtala days.

I spy a leaky shipβ¦
News looking potentially imminent
The SP is dropping only on tiny volumes/trades and rising on big hits - someone is quite clearly loading up.
I suspect there is quite a bit going on behind the scenes since the equity/cash injection which will play out in the coming weeks/months.
1p by year end is on the cards. Looking out for a big announcement soon. Perhaps carbon credit related agreement with the government
